This is a blog for my English IIIB students at Hirosaki University in the Fall of 2005. I started it in the Spring of 2005 for another class, and now I use it for whichever class I have. Right now it's English IIIB again. I hope you enjoy it.

Yes, there are many movie parodies in the Simpsons. Part of the fun of watching it, for many people, is seeing how many movie parodies you can recognize. Usually there is one main parody and several smaller ones. Twice they did Marlowe's "Doctor Faustus" - Bart sold his soul for $5 and Homer sold his for a donut. The Simpsons is one of my children's favorite animated series.
