Today I went to a book shop to buy a book about TOEFL and I found that TOEFL was much more difficult than I thought. I wanted to take the test in June, but it seems impossible to get a high score in a month. So I'll try next time. The worst problem about the test was that I can't write an essay in a short time. And also my verbal skills are too poor. The lack of vocabulary are killing me.

Hello!

Hello everyone! My name is Nagaya Kaneko. I'm from Akita.
My major is education; I'm only student of this major in this class.
So I don't have friends in this class. Please get along with me.
I had edited my blog since I was a high school student.
I want to show it, but I don't fix it long long time. So next time...

I tended to absent this class. I got a serious cold second times in Hirosaki!
I was weak, like a slime in "Dragon Quest". But now I'm so healthy!
So I study English seriously and I'd like to get skills of speaking English.
And I want to study abroad someday. I want to be a teacher of developing country in the future.

Thank you for reading my introduction. I hope to see more of you:D

P.S. Mr.Philips, I'm sorry I couldn't answer your question at today's class.
I understood about "paragraph". But I was too nervous. I'll do my best next class!!!

Let's get a discussion going!

Hi, class! (@_@)/~~~~

This week's assignment is to get discussions going. Let's try to make out messages this week ones that interest the other students enough to get them to post comments, and let's look for messages that interest us enough to induce us to post comments on them.

I would also like to ask students to go back to their blogger profiles, to make sure that I can identify them when it comes time to grade their work on the blog. Some of you I won't even be able to identify. Look at my profile, where I entered some details about myself, my likes, dislikes, etc. and try to tell us more about yourself through your profile.

By the way, some of you have your own blogs, which is very nice. I'm not requiring it for this class, but if some of the private blogs are better than the class blog I may switch to requiring personal blogs for all students next semester. I'll have to think about that. Tell me what you think about the idea, as a comment here.

My English In the Future

In the future, I want to speak English well
and make it one of my practical skills, which include medicine.
So I plan to study, speak and write it hard.
Now incidentally, in six years later, I am going to stay and work
in Aomori.
Therefore, I should undestand not only English
but alsoTsugaru dialect. It'll definitly be my weak point!
While I am a student, I want to come in contact with its
culture and tradition.

I want to ...

I want to work as a member of Medecins Sans Frontiers for some year in the future. To be able to communicate in English is one of a condition, so I want to speak English fluently, and catch what people say in English.

I really want to be good at speaking English!!

I like studying English, but I'm not good at speaking English. One day, when I was asked about the route by an American, I felt tense and I didn't tell it well. I was very annoyed. From now on, probably, it will become very important to comunicate with people anytime, needless to say, in medical field. So I really want to be good at speaking English and I shoud study English hard. I do my best!

My purpose of learning English

The new medical treatment method and a new curative medicine always come from overseas.
Therefore I study English, in order to know the newest medicine.
For reading a paper, it is necessary to get used to a medicine word.

My dream

I want to become good at English because I want to get knowledge from literature written in English. As a medical student, I think I should read a medical journal. In the future, I must do it. English is difficult for me, but I want to overcome it.
