Rabbit Proof Fence

This is my recommendation film. This movie gives a very good picture of the misery of discrimination and the strength of human. The general outline is this;

3 Aborigine kids lives in middle of Australia was caught by public because Australia recommended the "White Australia" policy. So some black kids were caught and educated in like concentration camp. The life in the camp was so hard that the 3 kids ran away from the camp. The clue of their country is the "rabbit proof fence" because their mother told them this fence continue from the coast to our country. But the length of this fence about 1500 miles(about 2400 km). Usually, the length was so overwhelming that we don't know whether we can continue to walk. But they tried to go home.

Please watch actually the continuation of this story. If you want to see the outline, please click my title.

2012 film comment

  Few days ago ,I saw the film 2012 with my computer .
  As the movie shows ,the world is ending in a matter of hours, yet justice and humanity don’t penetrate through the brain-shells of politicians. In order to save their own lives, the government officials keep the secret from the rest of human kind and also lets the man whose knowledge saves their lives die.
  The special effect of this movie is so good and it looks like the earth is really going to die.But if the viewer is a Tibetan or someone who is aware of the Tibetan culture and the sensitivities of Tibetan issue, one could feel that the justice and humanity are not occurred in the director’s thought either. There is a scene long enough to mention that takes place in Tibet. In fact the last human beings die there and the new seed of the future human race starts at the neck of Mount Everest, “The People’s Republic of China” the movie calls it.A Tibetan woman killing animals in Tibet is taboo, it never happened except during the Cultural Revolution when some women were forced to do so. Women killing chickens in the Chinese market is an everyday event, but a Tibetan woman killing a CHICKEN reflects the director’s cultural ignorance and it makes the movie even more ridiculous.
   And in real life ethically speaking, Mr. Emmerich failed to hire Tibetan actors who can speak their own language.  Their Tibetan is hundred times worse than Zhang Yi’s memorized English or Leonardo DiCaprio’s Swahili !

Strings

I belong to the orchestral club of this university, and I play the cello. And, I played the contrabass in high school and the violin in junior high school. I like them, and they have interesting structures.
There are usually 4 stretched strings on one stringed instrument. Their lengths are different by instrument. Also, Their thicknesses are different. These differences make differences of range according to instruments or strings. And, there is a pillar inside of a stringed instrument. This pillar is called "sound post", in Japanese "魂柱". Sound posts are important for beautiful sounds. When we make sounds, we rub strings with bows. Bow is a tool that fur of horses are pitched on a woody stick. And, we must rosin the strings. Rosin makes friction between strings and bows, and we make sounds using this friction. Like this, the strings are very interesting. And, Playing them are very fun. So, I want to continue to play them in the future.

Our language

Tsugaruben (Tsugaru language) is interesting.
In older period than Heian period (794-1185), there were 8 vowels ; a i u e o and 3 other vowels. Fortunately, Tsugaruben has kept one of three. The vowel, which Mr. Carpenter likes, is pronounced like japanese "u" with mouth opened like when you say "i". Over 50 tsugaru people can do so excellently, while I cannot pronounce it correctly. When tsugaru people show their agreement, they sometimes say "u-" like a moan.
By the way, Tsugaruben is used even for commercial. For example, These are the phrases actually used in a CM ;
A : "Wano kadepan shikerumeni nabe sa fondue seba udadegu meyon (It's tasty if you make fondue with my hard french bread)"
B : "Sebadaba yattemira (Then I'll try it)"
Unfortunately these don't contain the "u". These were made because somebody thought that Tsugaruben has french-like sounds and produced it. I heard that many japanese took it french conversation when they heard it.
And here is an interesting chat. A french woman (or a man) took a taxi to Aomori airport. The driver was the native speaker. She asked the driver "How many time does it take to the airport ?" Then he said "Juppun dabyon (I think that it may take 10 minites)" It is similar pronounciation to french. Once this phrase is said by natives, you can hear this "Je vais d'avion"
If you think it's funny, you should search "津軽弁" in YOUTUBE. It may be funny.

How to spend weekends

I am always looking forwrd to weekends because I can spend them doing as I like. I am busy at getting ready for supper, washing my clothes, and so on every day. So, I dissiate stress on weekends!! For example, I share a supper with my friends and talk all night on Fridays. On Saturdays, I join in the club activities in the morning and go shopping in the afternoon. However, I sometimes oversleep!! On Sundays, I do my assignment and clean my room for a change. If I have plenty of time, I go to a karaoke place with my friends, too. I want to make good use of weekends at all times because of the precious holidays!!

This film is a love story.Junichi Okada plays Toru Kojima and Hitomi Kuroki plays Shihumi Asano.Toru and Shihumi are in love.But they are diffrence in age and Shihumi has already married with other person when she met Toru.Toru is troubled about the relationship with Shihumi.Shihumi does too.This film describes their sad and painful relationship.Besides,many famous actors and actress ,for example,Jun Matsumoto and Aya Hirayama appear too.

My favorite season

The four seasons are clearly defined in Japan. Although each season has some good points, I like winter the most.

To be sure, winter is cold. In addition, I am extremely sensitive to the cold. Still I like winter.

The reason why I like winter is snow. Snow colors town and hills white. The white of snow makes for stillness. Also, I like the feel of snow.

One of the reasons why I chose Hirosaki University is snowy!

my band and my dream

When I am a child ,I was be enforced to play piano . Playing piano ,I used to think ,take over all my spare time to play with other friends . Because of piano ,I hated music . But since i grew up, i began to understand the meaning of music and in contray ,I began to like even love my piano . It gave me a lot of happy and finally it become bridge to my dream .
When I went to my university ,I found that university gives students many chances to do what they really want to . And in my surprise , in the campus ,many students show what they want to show to the others . They really cheered me to do what I want to do . I became to know some friends who have the same thinks like me . We made our own band ,at that time ,I began to play keyboard ,also because of the foundation of piano ,keyboard seemed easy to me . we made our own music and played those what we like in our campus . It is very difficult to say how I feel when stood on the stage singing and playing keyboard . And then we took part in many contests and went on pursuing our music dream . Our dream is become the best one in the university’s music contest . It is a enjoyment to try hard for dream . Though now I am here and can’t participate our play,I often think of them and fell exciting about my deam .

About music

I like music. I like to listen, play and sing. When I was four years-old, I started to practice to the piano until I was seventeen. Now, I live in dorm, and there are some pianos, so I play in every Sunday morning. And, I'm listening to music every time when I have time. My favorite band is "L'Arc~en~Ciel" and I like this dramer "yukihiro" . His style of play the drams is cool and sound is good. So, I'm interested dram and I joined "Rock office" club in this September. And I'm practicing the drams. In next month, I'll take part in Christmas concert. I'm look forward to it.
