Thank you. This is a useful source of information about the EU. Perhaps I shouldn't have said that I didn't know what the EU was, because it sounded like I had never heard of the EU. In fact I remember the EC and the EEC, although the original Franco-German Coal and Steel agreement was before I was born. In fact I don't think that the EU knows what the EU. They say that the EU isn't a federation, but they pass legislation and sign treaties. You say that it is a common currency, but the British are in the EU but don't use the Euro. They are not the only ones. It's still figuring itself out.
