About “Dr. Faustus”
In fact, I couldn’t understand the story well. So I want to see the movie until end soon. However I have a question about the movie. Why dose Dr. Faustus give his soul to the devil for getting to know the truth of the world? I think the most important thing for me is my spirit. So I can’t understand why he is so eager for getting to know the truth of the world. Please tell me your opinion!

He wanted (and got) more than the truth. He got 24 extra years of life, and magical powers to do whatever he wanted for those 24 years. Haven't you seen what he seems to be most interested in? Notice what Mephistopheles tempts him with from now on.
