I love the movie 'Drumline'. It is such a high-energy movie, the drumming and the marching are so excellent. The final drum battle is very exciting and it is also my favorite performance in this movie.

I really like movies. The otherday, I went to the cinema and watched "War of the world". But I did not like it too much. I could not understand that story.
One of my favorite movie is "A.I.". The movie really moved me to tears! The early stage of the story is sad, but I think the story has a happy ending.

Addams Family

There are many films I like and one of them is the "Addams Family Values". There's no such good reasons for that , but thinking of reasons I had already seen Addams Family in "Scoobie doo" on TV so the characters were familiar to me. To mention one more reason the actors fit the model of the characters. Especially Angelica Huston fits the role of a mother who seems like a witch.

films: What do you like?

I notice some of the people are putting photos from movies on the blog, and I know that most people like movies. I myself think film is the most important art form of the 20th century, maybe of the 21st century, too.

This week, let's talk about movies on the class blog. What kind of movies do you like? Why? I know many Japanese, especially men, seem to like action movies, maybe because the English is not very difficult. Many Hollywood action movies lose money in the States, so they depend on the Japanese market to make a profit.

My favorite action movie is The Last Action Hero by Arnold Schwarzenegger. It's sort of a satire of action movies.

I mentioned today that one of my favorite directors is Robert Altman. Another of my famous directors is Akira Kurosawa. His movie "The Seven Samurai" was voted one of the top action movies at the Internet Movie Database.

I like Shakespeare on film, too. I think if Shakespeare were alive today he would write for Hollywood. As you can probably guess, I especially like Kurosawa's two Shakespeare movies, "Throne of Blood" (Macbeth) and "Ran" (King Lear).

But enough about my taste in film. What do YOU like? Please include links to sites about the films you like, and if you can find some pictures, put those up for us, too.

My purpose of learning English

I like reading English. However, I am not good at writing hearing and speaking English. I think that English is an important tool to communicate other people. Therefore I want to get possible to manage English better. I make an effort.

Morning glory

This is a sprout of morning glory. I g0t a seed of it when I went to Namioka handicapped children school. One of the student of there gave me. I decided to bring up it. The day before yester day, I found it budding!

The Movie I Want To See

I also like movies.
Now, the movie I want to see is, of course,
"STAR WARS EPISODE Ⅲ REVENGE OF THE SITH", you know.
Through this one, the series comes to an end,
and all puzzles will be solved.
I hear the shapes of fighters of this movie resemble
the shapes of EPISODE Ⅳ, the oldest one.
I appreciate the directer's thoughtfulness.
