My major

  Hello, this is Misaki.
Today, I'm going to write about my major.

I major in earthscience, or geoscience.
I'm from Shizuoka Prefecture. It is said the Tokai Earthquake will comes. My family and many friends live there. There is a big volcano, Mt.Fuji, too.
So I thought I have to study about the mechanism of earthquake and volcanic eruption.

I'm in the department of earth and environmental sciences in Hirodai.
Most of my friends want to study about weather, earth environment, and space. In this department, we can learn many things about the earth. We need math and physical skills, but I don't have such skills yet.
I want to study about the relation of natural disaster and our life. Forecasting of earthquake is so difficult, however.

This picture is earthquake locations (Tohoku and Kanto Regions) for the last 7 days.
This is from "Hi-net". I usually check this page.

My Major

Hello!

Today, I'll introduce my major in Hirosaki University.

I belong to Department of Frontier Material Chemistry.
Yes, I major in chemistry.

We learn about mechanism of chemical reaction.
And our goal is to be able to create new materials or new methods of chemical reactions.
It is not easy, but I want to make a new discovery someday.

The reason that I chose this department is very simple.
I like chemistry.
When I learned chemistry in the high school, I wanted to know more about details of mechanisms of many kinds of reactions.

Since I am still a freshman, I still do not do experiments, however.
I'm looking forward to the the days I can do experiments in the class.
But sadly, we must write a report after each experiment.
It sounds..... hard.
Maybe we will be busy every day.

Do you want more information?
If so, please access our department's web site.
You can access it from here

Thank you.

Hi.I'm Rendai.

I'm in the faculty of science and technology.
I major in Programing.

We learn how to operate computer and how to produce computer.
We practice to operate BASIC, C++ now.
As we grade up,we'll learn an algorithm, soft computing, and so on.
We need large knowledge of mathematics and physics to operate programing.
Especially, we have to study math hard.
Because,we have to calculate complicated numerical by programing.

We learn how to assemble electronic circuit and a semiconductor and many utensil.
As it, we know how to produce computer.

We'll be a great programer!

What's my major? in Univ...

Hi.

 This time, about my major.
Its long name is "Department of Intelligent Machines and System Engineering, Faculty of Science and Technology".
Memorize it!

A machine works if you turn it on. And you have to operate it according to the situations. But, an intelligent machine is different. It owns some sensor to know its around, it owns intelligence to decide what it should do according to the situation found out by its sensor. We can call it a "New Future Machine".

The department aims at a better world than ever, in a way of making intelligent machines. Most of the students does too, I think.

Now, classes that I have to attend is just 6 (3 classes of physics(include experiments), 2 classes of math, and a class of information). And most of the classes(not have to)are basic education, it's very lucky now. I shudder at the thought of my future days being filled with math and science.
