My home town

Today,I am going to introduce my hometown Kawagoe city in Saitama Prefecture.I was born in Shimane Prefecture but grown up in Kawagoe city in Saitama Prefecture for 19 years. The population of this city is about 340,000. So it is one of the biggest city in Saitama Prefecture. Kawagoe city is famous for many things.For example,there are a lot of old buildings built in Edo or Meiji period.They look pretty old but very beautiful. Also you can enjoy sweets in this city.Especially, Japanese cake made from sweet poteto is very popular and of course so delicious
Why don't you visit my home town some day? I'm sure you can have a good time and enjoy your staying there.

The Rice Planting Season

Good evening! I'm Kiho. The other day I went back to Akita, so I'm going to write it.

This Wednesday I didn't have any classes in the afternoon, so I went back to my hometown. My dear friend picked me up at the station and drove me home. We chatted about several things in the car. Before I knew it, rice planting has already started. Paddy fields filled with water were very beautiful. It was a sunny day, and a gentle breeze rippled the surface of the water. It had been a usual view when I lived there, but a little separation brought me the feeling.

If I have a chance again, I want to go back home and meet my friend and family, and see the view of rice plants in the near future.

My hometown, Hirosaki

Hello, everyone, and sorry to write this.

My hometown is this city, Hirosaki. This city is famous for cherry blossomes and apples. In spring, a lot of tourists came to see them in Hirosaki park. I think the cherry blossomes in the park is one of the best ones in Japan. Not only them, but also shopping in "yatai" is enjoying. And, in fall, apples are harvested and sold. they have sweet and sour tastes. Also,they are very delicious.

I like this city very much.

Good morning, everyone. Today,I'll write about my impression of the movie, "E.T.".

It was the first time I watched it. I was very anxious because the movie I saw several weeks ago"o brother"was difficult for me to understand. But, the anxiety was nothing. The movie was easy to understand and interesting. It made me laugh many times and the last scene was emotional. The scene I laughed the best was that the boys mother don't notice E.T. in spite of he is near to her.

The question was why the boy feeld and moved the same as E.T. The scene was also laughing.

My hometown

Good morning,everyone. I'm Sho Maruyama. My hometown is located in the west of Tsgaru city. Its name is Tateoka. It is so small that we can't call it town. There is no big buildings,supermarkets,high schools,and so on. It has only a rural landscape. So for me, Hirosaki is very big city. I sometimes go back to my hometown to meet my family. Every time I visit my hometown , it relax me.

I'll write about my home town.

I have two home towns, Ebina city in Kanagawa, where I live when I was elementary school student and junior high school student, and Shichinohe town in Aomori, where I live when I was high school student. So I'll write about Ebina city.

I think Ebina city is a moderate city. There is a shopping mall, called "Bina walk" in front of Ebina station. You can enjoy almost all of entertainments. There are a movie theater, a game arcade, restaurants, clothing stores, and so on. And there are forests and I used to go there to catch beetles and stag beetles in summer.
Still, I often go back to Ebina city and play with friends. I think they are lifetime friends. I'll go back to Ebina city during next summer vacation if I have enough time.

We watched "E.T." last Friday.
Unfortunately, we couldn't watch all of the movie, but I went to "TSUTAYA" and lent the movie to watch at my house.

It was called "masterpiece" when it was showing, and I thought so too then. But now, I review it and I thought it was not so marvelous movie.

Because it is natural that the feeling changes into if time passes, it may be interested to review an old movie.

My hometown

My hometown is Kasugai city in Aichi prefecture.The city is next to Nagoya city which is third lergest city in japan,but it does not lerge very much.Rather it is calm.It keeps good balance.
Near my house,there are many forests.In the forests,many bombs which aren't exploded are said to be buried.They are results of the World War Ⅱ.The bombs are sometimes regarded as a dangerous problem by goverment officers,but people living around there doesn't take care of that.In this forest,you can find not only bombs but also many animals.I have seen pheasants and tanukis.Sometimes a protected animals are found around the forests.Last year,a kind of fox which is a pretected animal is found.

I watched a movie,which is called E.T., last week.
In fact,I have watched this movie,so I know the story of this movie.
The highlight is the scene,E.T. cures an injury of Eliot's finger by touching it.It is very impression.I have heard the scene was inspired by a picture of Michelangelo.

The biggest question is where did the name,E.T., come from.I don't remember the origin and I couldn't understand the detail in English.

I knew E.T. was a very famous and interesting movie, but I had not seen it before that day. I understood the reason why E.T. is a special movie. It teaches us the importance and the possibility of mental exchanges between "different" existances. I moved so much.

I saw the movie "E.T" for the first time.It was a kind of heart-warming movie between human boys and a NOT human creature. Human boys helped E.T to get back its own planet safely.If they had not found it,it would have been caught by adults who wanted to study it,and it could not have gotten back to its own planet.
I thought E.T was cute.Especially,the way of walk was impressive.Its feet were very short and when it walked,it needed to shake its whole body to reach out its feet.When it mistakenly drank,it bumped against a desk.This was cute,too.
I found how the moon was shown in the movie important.From the scene that a boy found a boll come back ,to the scene he saw E.T for the first time,the moon was very round and never move.It was impressive.And when boys flied by E.T's power,the moon played an impressive role,too.
I have a question about this movie.Why E.T came to this planet? What was their purpose?

My hometown is Kobe in Hyogo prefecture.
Kobe is famous for ports.When you see ports at night,you'll be moved.Ports at night are very very beautiful.
Kobe is also famous for Kobe beef.Kobe Bean Bryant,a famous pro-basketball player, is named after Kobe beef because his father likes Kobe beef.
Aomori is distant from Kobe,so I can't return to my hometown so often.It is very inconvenient.I want to eat my mothers cooking.In summer vacation,however, I can go back to Kobe.I'm really looking forward to it.
If you have any chance to come to Kobe I'll guide Kobe.

About my hometown

My hometown is Sendai.
Sendai is the biggest city in the Tohoku district. There are many modern buildings and convenient up-to-date facilities and shops. In addition, there are also a lot of trees and flowers. Because of the beautiful natural scenery, Sendai is called mori no miyako. I think Sendai is the most comfortable city in Japan.

Sendai is also famous for its delicious foods. Beef tongue is popular in particular. There are many good beef tongue restaurants, so you will surely find your favorite one.

We can easily go to Sendai from Hirosaki by shuttle bus. If you want to travel or go shopping, please visit Sendai by all means!

For example, Tsutaya, Sukiya, Yamada denki, and Kappa zushi.

Hello, I'm Kazuki Sato. Today, I'm going to talk about my hometown.

I'm from Fujimi city in Saitama prefecture. Fujimi city is south in Saitama. This cit has a population of 100,000. This name "Fujimi" is derived from the place where we can see Mt. Fuji. There are three stations in this city. They are "Mizuhodai", "Tsuruse", "Fujimino".

Fujimi city is known for three things.

First, peculiar soybean paste is made in this town. This is called "Fujimi miso". However, I never have it. I want to eat it someday.
Second, there is an unique park. The name of this park is "Mizuko kaizuka kouen".You can see "tateanasikizyuukyo" in this park.
Third, there are large field. Many crop is raised in this field. The famous "Fujimi negi" is raised in this town!!

Fujimi city has many virtue. I'd like you to come to this city!!

My hometown

My hometown is Aomori City.
The climate of Aomori City is a little cooler than that of Hirosaki City in summer because Aomori City faces the sea though it is the same with Hirosaki City almost.

Aomori City is famous for the Nebuta festival.
Recently, I feel summer because I hear the practice of the musical band of Nebuta festival in the early evening.

And, Mt. Hakkoda looks clear in Aomori.
I see the snow scene of Mt. Hakkoda introduced, I think that it is a very beautiful mountain.

In Aomori, there are a lot of good places. please come to Aomori City once.

In this post,I will talk about the movie,E.T.

Although E.T. is very famous movie,I saw E.T. for the first time last Friday.It was a very heart-warming movie,and I liked it so much!

The best famous scene of E.T. is where E.T. and boys flies in the sky by bicycle.To say the truth...I have flown like them!I am NOT telling a lie.I have flown like them...in the attraction of E.T. in USJ:)

We watched E.T. last Friday.
It was possible for me to understand the content well more than time when we watched o-brother, because people spoke easy English in it.


The scene that Eliot's mother did not notice though E.T. was in the room and scene of frog in Eliot's school were a lot of fun.
I see the scene to which Eliots fly over the sky by bicycle,I came to want to fly over the sky by bicycle too.
Though I had become uneasy in the scene when E.T. had died once, I was glad for he to revive.
I was impressed by friendship between E.T. and children.

I've never been seen "E.T." before,so I was looking forward to watch it.I'll tell you what I feel after watching it.The words in "E.T." were easier than the words in "O Brother!",so I could understand most of the meaning.

The little boy could share every feelings with E.T.!I couldn't help laughing at the scene that when E.T. got drank,the little boy got drank,too and when E.T. watched a man kissed a woman in TV with love story,the little boy kissed the classemate!

I moved that E.T. came back to life and went home, and the friendship between E.T. and the little boy.

I saw the movie "E.T." last Friday. I saw it when I was a junior high school student. However, I didn't remember content of it. So I looked forward to seeing it.

This movie was more interesting than I had expect. Especially, E.T. was so funny. I liked the scene that E.T. drank the beer and was dead drunk. The face of E.T. displeased me. However, the act of him(?) amused me. The act of the family is also important. When they see the E.T. first , they was always very very surprised. The action of them was wonderful.

Thie movie was moderately exciting. However, I have a question. The last scene, E.T. was raised from the dead. Why did he revive? This question may be taboo but I minded it.


I'd like to watch a movie in English again if I have a chance.

Today,I'm going to talk about my hometown,Hachinohe.

Firstly,Hachinohe is famous for seafoods,like seasoned sea-urchin eggs or squids.I want you all to eat sushi in Hachinohe.They're very fresh and really nice!

Secondly,I'll talk about Sanshataisai,which is summer festival held in Hachinohe every year.Huge cars with beautiful Japanese dolls called Dashi go around the city.This festival is held at the begining of August.Please come to Hachinohe and see this festival.

Hello! It's Satoko.

I'm from Sendai. Sendai is the biggest city in the Tohoku district. There are many famous local specialties. For example, a beaf tongue, zunda, Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles, and so on.

To tell you the truth, I don't like beaf, especially yakiniku, but I can only eat a beaf tongue. We usually eat it with a boiled mixture of rice and barley (mugimeshi) and grated yam (tororo).

I will guide you to Sendai when you go to there!

Hi, I'm Yuta Oba.

I have seen this film several times. However, I had seen only the Japanese version, so it was the first time I saw the English version. Though I remembered almost all the scenes of the film, while I was watching it, I felt like as if I was watching another film which I hadn't seen. That was because the characters was speaking in English, and there were no subtitles. It was fresh for me.

Needless to say, the story is really interesting. All of the characters are amusing, and I like E.T. in particular. If creatures from outer space actually looked like E.T., I would want so badly to meet and be friends with them!

I had not seen E.T. but I had known it,because I have a puzzle which are printed a picture of E.T. .And I have watched it at length!It was easy for me to understand E.T. . The most interesting scene was that E.T. recovered his spirits as the flower was in bloom. I thought that if E.T. had died,the ending would have so sad.But the ending was happy!E.T. was able to go back to the moon.　E.T. must have been fine by now!I want to experience in flying on a bicycle someday.

My home town is Wakayama. Do you know where Wakayama is placed? It is south to Osaka. Wakayama is very good place. There are beautiful ocean, awesome mountain and mysterious forest and so on. The food is also good. For example, aridamikan and nankouume and wakayamaramen etc.
I love Wakayama! If you have a chance to go to there, I will guide!!

Hello, everyone. I'm Owada Hiroaki.

Last week, we saw E.T. Actually I had seen the movie before, but the famous scenes kept their goods. In addition the movie moved me more than the first time I'd seen it.

My favorite scene is the children fly the sky by E.T. . I think it may imply the release from adults (=phoney things.) It is very exciting! But I think also that we have to live the world filled with a lot of phoney. So I don't think that the action isn't necessarily right. However if they play in a huge rye field on the edge of cliff and wander close to brink, I'll catch them.

My hometown is Aomori city. It takes an hour for us to go there from Hirosaki. We can go there very easily. Aomori city is the prefectural capital. However, the station square is not bustling but quiet. In fact, Aomori city is sleepy place. However, I like the city very much. It is because we can enjoy the beautiful nature and eat very delicious and healthy food. We can easily go to Oirase and Sirakamisanchi by car to see the wonderful natural scene. Also, we can eat very fresh apples, scallops, eggs and so on.

Aomori city is a very good place. Please visit the city.

Last Friday I watched ET. It's very famous and popular movie, but I have never seen this film. So, I had very interesting time.

I thought it very wonderful that Eliot and his brothers and sisters were getting along with ET. The scene that I like very much is the scene that they take ET out to run away. Eliot carry ET by bicycle with his brothers and sisters. Then, their bicycles rise into the air!! This scene is very exciting. The parting is so sad and moving.

I want to watch this movie again.

I saw E.T. last week. It is twice I see this movie.
When I was in elementary school, I watched it for the first time.
But I almost forgot detailed story of it, so I was excited to see it.
I like a figure of E.T. He/She(may be he) is far from pretty and I really like the way he acts.
My favorite scene in this film is that E.T. had been made up by Girty and when E.T. had been found out by Eliot his action was funny. I also enjoyed songs of this film.

Last week, I wathed E.T. in the class.
I have seen it before,but I enjoyed it very much.
I think this movie have some magic, so I never get weary of watching it.
Every scene was wonderful but I especially love the scene that boys run away from adults to protect E.T. and fly in the sky with ride their bicycles on.
It's full of a sense of energy and fantasy!!

One of my hobbies is watching movies so my appreciation of them are little severe.

The other day, we saw E.T. film, I had wanted to see for a long time. It was printed in a textbook I used in junior high school, but I hadn't seen it as a movie.

The children, Eliot, his brother and sister are very quick to accept E.T. The scene that their mother doesn't notice E.T. even though he is under her nose was amusing.The most moving scene for me was that E.T. and Eliot fly in the sky. For some reason, I felt a little crying. The last parting was the same. Amused and moved, I spent a very good time seeing the movie!

In our English class,we watched the movie "E.T." in English.I have seen this before ,but I think it's fun watching it once again.

I could understand the story of "E.T." easier than "O Brother",the movie last time we watched.I think that's because the theme of this story is about friendship and there's little complex background like religion or race.It may be a film that every age can enjoy.

"E.T." was really a exciting fiction movie.If you haven't seen it yet,you'd better go to Tsutaya and rent a DVD.

Hi! I'm Mizuki.

I saw a movie which I had wanted to see, 'E.T.' It was a science fiction film and very very famous, but it was the first time for me to see it.

English the characters in this movie speak was a little easy to understand, so I enjoyed this movie very much. I was moved, especially the scene which E.T. was dying. And I was very surprised to see E.T. come back to life!

The music in this movie was also good. It made the story more fantastic. That was great!

Last Friday, I watched "E.T." with my classmates in our Enlish class.
Actually, this is the first time to watch the film even though it is super popular all over the world. The reason why I haven't watched it during my child days is that E.T. looked very scary and weird for me at that time. Most people were saying E.T. was really cute, though.

However, all children in this film were cherishing E.T. and tried to save him from people who wanted to capture him. Their attituide was really impressed me. Especially, the last scene that was the hero boy and E.T. had to say good-bye each other made me cry. I didn't intend to cry, but I wasn't able to watch it without tears in my eyes. Besides, gradually I like E.T. as I was watching it. :)

The conversation in English of this film was more understandable than the previous one "O Brother". I think it is mainly because the hero was a boy and he and E.T. were talking in simple English so that I enjoyed it very much!

When I was a child, I watched E.T in a movie theater in 1982. At that time, I was interested in the existence of a being like E.T from outer space. Then, I thought I wanted to fly by bicycle with E.T.

The other day, I watched the movie again in the class. In the story , adults treat E.T as a material for research, while children are friends with E.T. The movie reminds me of important things which we adults sometimes forget. It is a friendship, a tender heart and tolerance that are the most important in our life.

Now, I'm 32 years old, but I still want to fly by bicycle with E.T and my friends!!

Asahikawa city

Asahikawa city is located in the center of Hokkaidou prefecture in Japan. Many rivers whose source is Daisetsuzan National Park flow through the city. The change of the seasons is quite noticeable around the city. In summer, a mountain hiking in Daisetsuzan National Park is the best and you can see many beautiful alpine plants and flowers there.　In winter you can enjoy skiing and snowboard with powder snow in Mother nature!!
