My golden week

                      My  golden week
                           Jessica
When it comes to "Golden  Week ",most of us will smile and look forward to a wonderful vocation, including me.However ,things got changed this year .Why  ? Because I didn't go on a vocation as usual .Instead,I became a volunteer to guide for the tourists from all over the world,in Hiro-saki Park.

From a tourist to a guide, it made a big change. It was the first time for me to be a guide ,especially for the languages, for I should act in Japanese,Chinese, and English!!!It was so challenging that it made me excited. On
29th of April, we had a brief information meeting about Hiro-saki Park and the beautiful cherry blossoms. And then I did some search for further information. On 3rd of May, the early morning, I  ran into a Chinese tourist, coming from the Yan Tai City, Shan Dong Province,China. It made me feel excited to see Chinese here. And then ,I just guided him through Hiro-saki Park in Chinese. It seemed that speaking in Chinese is more comfortable for me to make it not only clear but also interesting! When I spoke in Japanese ,I just felt that I was a machine not having feelings ,for I'm just not able to find the proper way to introduce things. That made me feel sad. And the first day was so hard. Not only from my confusion ,but also for the bad weather. It rained for a while and then stopped. And then it rained for a while and then stopped...What's more, there was so strong a wind that day. I felt a little sick that day.Ah...

However, things get changed. On 4th of May , I met with a very excellent guide named Sao  Sato. He is a guide  who had worked for Hiro-saki P ark for over 8 years. He has a very beautiful booklet that  containing  all the information clearly and vividly. There are many tourists  make appointments  with him before they come here. He is so popular among tourists.I followed  him when he did the guide work .He was so excellent! The main point of his introduction was not only to tell tourists how beautiful it is, but also to tell them the reasons why they are so beautiful and special .If I were a tourist ,I would prefer him as my guide.

I  learnt a lot  from him and other excellent guides, and then ,I tried to guide the Japanese people totally by myself . It was  hard  for the first time .But  when it turned to twice ,three times ,it worked in a right way .That made me excited!!!

On 5th of May ,the last day for our guide .I did a good job and they gave me praise.

This special journey ,I met a lot of people ,who not only expanded my experience of life and work ,but also understood some inner things, such as spirit ,love and human sympathy and so on.I was so grateful that I could be a guide .I received a lot from people around me ,and they were all my heroes to guide me in my life . I like this feeling .Trying to give ,not always demanding for yourselves. The world is ours. We should do something to make people feel happy and in turn we ourselves would be happy,as well.

This golden week,I learnt a lot though it was so tiring.I felt so happy ! What's more ,I just experienced the whole process of  the cherry blossom blossoming .From a bud to a flower ,it was so amazing!!! It changed every day and night, like our life...No one knows what it will be in the future ,we just walked through the life tunnel, some day we may die ,like the cherry blossom's flowers to be fallen and scattered about. But we showed the beauty of ourselves to the world,to ourselves. Then that's enough. We don't have to regret .That's  the best statement, for life, for  ourselves.

The golden week was gone ,but the experience remained, forever!

me and hay fever

Hello everyone!

I am Nozomi who is one of the students of 3b English class.

Unfortunately, this is first time for me to use this blog, so I am still not sure what I need to write…but I think that it is important to write something in English in order to improve my English skill, so I decided to contribute to this blog.

When I was on a way to Hirosaki University in this morning, I found that cherry blossoms were coming out one by one. I know that Hirosaki is very famous of the beautiful scenery in this season, however, spring is difficult time for me because I must struggle against Sugi (cedar) pollen.

As I mentioned in today’s class, I have been suffering from hay fever since I moved Hirosaki. Recently, I cannot go out without wearing a mask and my glasses (Usually I am using contact lenses). Wearing a mask is one of the effective methods to soften the symptom of pollen allergy, however, actually I do not like to use a mask. This is because, my glasses are fogged up whenever I am wearing a mask.

During Golden Week, my friends are going to hold ohanami party at Hirosaki park. Of course I intend to attend the party to enjoy delicious food with beautiful cherry blossoms, but I do not want to think what will happen to me when I take off my mask.

Please enjoy your Golden Week

This is my first blog

My Final Update

I've finished my final class of IIIB the other day. Every week I had a homework to write two paragraphs including blogs. It was hard but I've been better at writing than before that I've making a lot of mistakes. Red letters decreased which was on my paragraph returned from professor. It made me pleased.
Almost all the class was following a textbook, but sometimes professor tells us some funny stories, trivia, interesting knowledge, and about him. Everything he tells us is interesting and worth knowing.
I've learned a lot from this class. I thank you, sir, very much. Goodbye few people who watches this blog, IIIB's members, and professor.

Chaplin's The Great Dictator

  Hello, this is Misaki.
  I'm so sorry to be late!! I had to do this first. I almost forget what I was going to write;;

Every scene is so funny except the last serious scene --- one of his movie's features. Why was the WW2 happen even though he made such a moving speech to the world?!

Anyway, I don't want to eat English mustard as cream sauce. Hynkel's speaking style is also interesting. Actually, sometimes he say "Danke schön" , or Thank you in German, but most of his shouting is not German but something like Germanish words. He must have studied about the real dictator's speech.
I know he is a double role --- the great dictator Hynkel and the barber, but somehow they seemed to be two different persons. Chaplin's performance is amazing... .

There are a lot of discovering from watching the movie with English subtitles. I feel like watching Chaplin's other movies again in this way!

  Thank you for reading.

Movie

A movie I recently watched is Ted..!
Do you know this movie and what story is?

The main character is the bear doll and he was presented to a boy who has no friends.
When the boy tried to speek to it, suddenly it began to talk by itself...!

And he and his bear became best friend each other.

After the long time, he was already 30 years old with Ted, the bear!

What happed..?
I could not tell you about it here!
You should watch the movie if you are interested!!
BUT this movie was too funny, that means so bad expression words..... slang.

The Great Dictator

 Hi. This is Chieko.

In the English class, we watched the movie "The Great Dictator". It is the movie about the terrible war. But Charlie Chaplin's funny action makes the movie fun.

The model of this movie is World War 2. I found it not only serious but also funny at the same time. I think it could be so because Charlie Chaplin made this movie. I think he is really talented person. Now I want to watch his movie more.

In this movie, I like this scene the most.

His speech was about what he really wanted to say through this movie. That was his shout out of his soul. And we should catch his message and think of its meaning.

 Thank you.

The Great Dictator

by Charles Chaplin.
Did you know its actor was Charles Chaplin and another actor was Charles Chaplin and its producer was Charles Chaplin and its scriptwriter was Charles Chaplin and its director was Charles Chaplin ? I'm choked.
Speaking of choke, Charles Chaplin shouted to be choked so many times as if he want to. It heard for me "paparappapppatbauuupiquiquipook". Can native really listen to him what he says? I hope not.
We need to listen to its message behind (or surface). I can't help thinking of justice. I like such a movie , I said I like Aibo too. Don't pretend to be .
Anyway , it was funny, I enjoyed a lot. Thank you , sir.

Music box

  Hello, this is Misaki.
I like game musics since several years ago, and recently, I knew there are many arranges of them. I like music box arrange the best.

Anyway, please press this link and listen to it! ↓
nm19806302...VALLIS-NERIA

←This is the thumb nail.

The tempo of the music is much slower than the original song. So I feel relaxed when I listen to music box arranges.
The original music was made by Yoshitaka NISHIMURA, and it is arranged by many people. For example, NES or Famicom sounds, MAD video using Kabi-killer --cleaner for removing mold-- commercial's voice, piano, high speed arrange, and so on. These are funny. Of course I like the composer, too.

My Small Friends

 Hi. This is Chieko.
I have some small friends in my house. Do you know this? Aren't they cute?

I liked Sylvanian Families very much when I was an elementary school student. I gathered so many dolls and lots of furniture. I even named all the dolls. My mother is good at sewing, so she made me doll's cloths and sometimes I also did.

Since I entered junior high school, I played with them less and less. But last summer, I suddenly felt like seeing them. So I put the furniture and dolls in the doll house and took some pictures, not playing. Maybe I will see them before long. They are my friends how old I get!

I want

I'm not interested in Prius. I just want a stuffed Draemon. How about you ? He's the best I have ever seen. He's cute when he climbs the window. The ball-like hands !
Where can I get him................................?   Please tell me ! I do want him. If I got him I'll let him stand by my TV.

I like spring

Every year when snow melted, a smell comes with a spring bleeze. It is a nostalgic smell. I don't know why, but it's nostalgic though I feel it every year. It reminds me of my childhood without any distress, worry, and bother. It can even make me cry. At that time I was just myself and really happy but now I feel I'm acting someone except for me.
Spring is a beginning season in Japan, so there must be an ambition and a hardship. It might be a sad memory but I think I like to think of it. Strong sunlight and melting snow exists together, the impressive season.

Math

            __
We let √-1 = i. This number is never exist in this world, we call it "an imaginary numer"(虚数). We call the numbers equal the real numbers (実数) plus the imaginary numbers the complex numbers (複素数). But, they should exist in another world where we can never imagin.

For example, have a look at this graph.

Where are the solutions? The imaginary axis should be somewhere, then y=f(x) and them meet somewhere we can never imagin. I think there is a ghost world.

π = C/d  (C:the circumference of a circle, d:a diameter)

e =  lim  (1+x)^1/x
      x→0

e^iπ + 1 = 0

This is the most beautiful formula in math.
This rules real world and fantastic world.

My favorite season

I like spring and autumn. Because the temperature is neither good nor bad. In fact, I like fashion. In spring or autumn, I can wear in various combinations.

In summer, I don't want to wear many layers of clothes, so I wear only a T-shirt. I don't like this style. In winter, I wear a coat. Outer is really expensive, so I don't have many. So I can't wear many layers of clothes.

In spring or autumn, because of the temperature is proper, I can wear many variation of clothes. T-shirts, shirts, parkas, jacket, and so on! I really enjoy fashion!

My Favorite Season

 Hello. This is Chieko.
Today, I'm going to tell you about my favorite season.

My favorite season is.....winter! Why? In winter, snow falls in Aomori. I like the view of outside covered with white snow. Everything turns into white and is shining in the sunlight. It is really beautiful so I feel relaxed and delighted.

Also, in winter, I used to ski when I was an elementary school student. I have not skied for long time, but I know it is very fun to skiing. So I want to go skiing before long whether I can ski well or not. Maybe I will fall down soon.

Lastly, this is the most important point. In January, my birthday comes!! So every year, I'm looking forward to becoming winter!

My favorite season

  Hello, this is Misaki.

My favorite season is the beginning of summer. Actually, I didn't like this season before I came to Hirosaki. In Shizuoka, I can't concentrate because of my running nose. Yes, I am a hay fever sufferer. I love masks. In Hirosaki, however, I wasn't embarrassed with it. Moreover, I enjoyed seeing cherry-blossoms at Hirosakijo-catsle. It was amazing that cherry blossoms are blooming in the end of April.

I also enjoyed walking along Dotemachi shopping street. My hometown has shopping streets, too, but they are more rural, so I like Hirosaki's better.

And I want to stay at home in winter!! I'm also not good at walking on the snowy roads. So I like the beginning of summer in Hirosaki.

TRUE MUSIC

This is called HONDA MUSIC !
And this is a true music, just listen. I wish you like it.
This music is made by Honda 3.5 liter V12 engine made to win at formula one world championship 1991. And this car is driven by Ayrton Senna the fastest formula one driver ever he makes this music more sensual. I hope your something reacts.
What can I say.....This is beyond description ! This high-pitched sound comes from Honda's passion and the world's greatest technology that the other makers couldn't make. This is one reason that Honda was called MUSIC and Ferrari or Porsche was called just sound.
You can feel it sensual if you get used to listen to engine sounds. Maybe hard task but I want you to like cars !

   Goodbye             Shun

My Favorite Music

Hello. It's me, Chieko. Now, I'm going to tell you about my favorite music.
I often want to listen to orchestra music. They makes me relaxed and feeling comfortable.

This music is "Carnival of the animals" composed by Charles Camille Saint-Saens. This is made by 14 parts and their themes are animals. For example, hens and cocks, elephant, kangaroos, and so on. Especially, I like "Fossils." I like xylophone's pretty sound of the first part.
When I listen to this music, I feel delighted and happy. If you have never listened to it, please listen!
 Thank you.

Bohemian Rhapsody

  Good evening, this is Misaki.

My favorite music is Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen.
I like this song because I can enjoy three music styles at once. It means, this song includes three parts. Ballad, opera, and rock music.

Anyway, please listen to it!

Each part of this song were used in some Japanese TV program, so you may have heard it. Didn't you think they were three different songs?
The drummer, Roger Taylor sang a very high note at [4:08]. Please check his high-pitched voice; "♪For me~~~~~~!!!♪"

  Thank you.

BGM haha

I love these bgm. These are video game's bgm. I never listen to this without feeling sad.
Roxas who is Sora's nobody should have spent false summer vacation for recovering Sora's memories. And he lost precious friends. In the end, Roxas and Sora were combined. And, Sora woke up, Roxas disappered. He sleeps in Sora.

For many reasons, Roxas is a really sad character. This bgm is Roxas theme.

In fact, there is an origin of Roxas in Sora's heart. He is Ventus. He isn't a nobody, but a human. Roxas's face is exactly like Ventus's. (There are many deep reasons.)
He is a sad character, too.
This is Ventus theme. I love this, too.

My favorite movie

Sorry to be late. This is Misaki.

My uncles like watching movies, so I used to watch several movies until I came to Hirosaki. I wondering which movie should I introduce.

I like many film directors, but the best person is Charles Chaplin. First of all, most of his movies are interesting. When you want to laugh, just watch them. Maybe most university students can understand what they say if you listen to their talk and sometimes see subtitles. And I also know some jokes are not used in Japanese (only in English?). He always plays in words.
Somehow, his movies make me cry. He tells us impressive stories. "Modern times" and "The Great Dictator" have funny part and emotional part. Maybe other movies by him have those two parts.

Aibo the movie

Harry Potter is my the first film I saw at a theater. I remember anyone there was startled at a certain scene with a loud sound. Since then I saw all the Harry Potter series which ended last year with a happy ending.

By the way, I like Aibo (=friend, buddy, or mate) which is a Japanese detective drama. Now it's season 11. And its stuffs sometimes makes a movie which includes a message to us. Following the law sometimes makes people sad or isn't justice, but they are police they must be strong enough to follow the law. It's very very worth considering, really really complicated.

I've heard that a new movie of Aibo comes this winter. I'm looking forward to seeing the movie. But before that I want to see last year's one because I haven't seen it yet. I'll dash to a video rental shop now. Bye bye !

Shun

My Favorite Movie

 Hello. It's Chieko.
Today, I tell you about my favorite movie.

I like animation movies, especially which made by STUDIO GHIBLI. These kinds of movies are not  so serious and realistic, so I can watch them being comfortable.

Among them, I like "LAPUTA Castle in the Sky" the most.

This movie is a story that a boy and a girl venture searching of the castle of Laputa. They have many difficulties, but they never give up. Of course, there are some funny scenes. Besides, pictures are very beautiful and voice actors are good.

Each time this movie is broadcasted on the television, I always watch it. Why don't you watch it?

This article is a joke. ←This is a joke.

Hello, I'm Rendai.

I like "Doraemon". And, my little brother 8years old (now 9), too. So, we used to go to see its movie. I'm talking about the Doraemon movie which is very impressive in my mind.

When I was third grade high school student, we went to see "Doraemon the movie: The Miracle Island with Nobita ~Animal Adventure~" for last memories of my high school life, at just the day before I move to Hirosaki.

This movie's concept is family. Family is heartwaming for us, but most people take it for granted. This movie tells us how important having family is.
I felt really sad and I really cried, because I had to live away from my family. Then, I wondered if I can do well in new life in Hirosaki and if I can make friends in University, and I wondered many things.
Now, I live in Hirosaki away from my family. I really thank my family for supporting me behind the scenes.

↓This is the trailer of this movie.

Thank you!

Snoooow!!!・∀・

  Good evening, this is Misaki.

I live in Hirosaki since April, so I don't know winter in this town. Therefore, I was almost slipping on snowy street. But the view is beautiful... . I like trees covered with snow. I lived in Shizuoka Pref, I seldom see snow.
I'm interested in winter sports. I have not play any winter sports so much. I tried to skating in my hometown, but I couldn't. I only walked on the skate link. I wanted to practice much more. There was not enough time. So, if you know some nice skate links or other winter sports, please tell me!
In winter, my uncles, aunts and cousins usually get together at my home in Shizuoka, so I'm looking forward to go home. And there is my birthday in February. Maybe I have to learn many things about the cold weather in Hirosaki, but I like winter.

The winter music I often listen to. ↓ I like this speed.

  Thank you!

Winter Day

 Hello. I'm Chieko.

I like winter because it snows. Some people says that they hate snow, but I like snow. They say that if snow falls, they get wet, they slip, and they can't walk. But I think snow is better than rain because I can brush the snow. I can't brush rain and I don't like walking under an umbrella.

Though the view of snowy day is very beautiful, snow is sometimes terrible.

It is beautiful, isn't it? But sometimes...

Sometimes snow is driven by the wind. But, it is still OK.
 In my hometown...

Wind blows much harder. We sometimes can't see anything and we can barely walk.

Although we have to have a hard time in winter here in Aomori, I still like winter. The largest reason is...in January, I celebrate my birthday! So I have some kind of feeling of familiarity. Actually, I feel familiarity also with snowstorm. My mother says that on my birthday, it always turns into a snowstorm!

Winter song

I don't like to ski. I don't like winter sports. I used to make snow man with my brother. I don't have the great memories of winter. But I like winter song.
So I recommend the winter song I like.
First, "RIDE AWAY". This song is for friends who are riding away from home town. This is composed by Hi-Fi CAMP.
Second, "Dakishimetai". This song is love song. This is composed by Mr.Children.

Winter = Skiing

Hi. I'm Shun. I can't talk about winter without skiing. Watch this video. He's amazing. Because he's an athlete.

I don't know about competition skiing well, because I ski just for pleasure. But I want to be like him(him, I mean an professional skier). He's very very cool. I'll tell you again, I'm not crazy.

I'm going to ski this winter but I'm worried about my right knee that I hurt two years ago since then I haven't ski because I had an entrance exam. Skiing is one of my few thing that I have a confidence. So I hope my knee is all right to enjoy this winter.

    Bye bye

Good evening ☆

This is Misaki. Sorry to be late.

This is one of my favorite songs.
I knew the singer, Enya since I was an elementary school student. Her song was introduced in the radio English program (Kiso Eigo) I used to listen to. I remember I thought that sounds an angel's voice, and drew a picture of two angels. One was real angel and another was Enya with wings. I love her voice. I feel relaxed anytime I listen to and even I 'hear' her song.

Many songs of her have a melody which makes me feel flowing or floating, but this song is more cheerful. I feel like singing with her.

I'm interested in other kind of musics, too. I always listen to some game musics, MJ's songs (I miss him), vocaloid songs, J-pops, and soooooo on. (too many to write here.)
Why don't you talk with me about your favorite musics after the three B class?

  Thank you!

The Smallest Car in the World

This is a car comedy by BBC named Top Gear. In this video, a tall man named Jeremy drives the smallest car in the world. Some foolish programs you can enjoy if you don't like or hate car. And I like such a foolish one better than serious car impression. I don't want to talk about this video because I want you to watch this freshly without any preconceived idea. A certain Japanese government-run broadcasting station will never make such a funny, very nice program. Though BBC is the same one.

If you like this, go youtube and find more. And let me know something you like.

During Homework

 Hello.
Today, I'll introduce the music I hear during homework.

I often do my homework listening to the music. It sometimes makes me comfortable. But some kind of music is annoying, but this isn't. I usually listen to the music setting the volume quiet so that I can concentrate on my homework.

I like the animation movies Hayao Miyazaki made and I also like the songs in the movies. So I think this video is grate. Although this video includes several songs I do not know well, I enjoy them (in fact, I do not listen that parts well).

If you like these animations, try it once!

The game's story I like the best

When the man lost the "self" and fell down to darkness, he will be the "heartless". They are called the creature that gives concrete the darkness. And the man who has really strong heart becomes "heartless", "Nobody" will birth at the same time. They have no heart, but have memory of one's past.

Sora is a main character, and Roxas is Sora's Nobody. Ordinally Nobodies have memories, but Roxas has no memory because Sora became heartless by the special way. Generally, Nobodies and the origin of Nobodies can never exist at the same time. But Sora and Roxas do. Why?

If you get interested in this story, play KIGDOM HEARTS, or read their novels.
This movie is my really favorite movie.

Major, Hirodaifest, Hometown and Interests!

Hello my friends ;)
I wasn't long time here, sorry I've just forgotten....

About 4 things I'd like to write today.

 At first... about my major!
You already know what my major is. It is education of fine arts. I often study in the building of education. So I seldom see you at University.
Usually I think my assignment of paintings because I have to finish my works within next one week.
When I paint on a paper, I want to do so carefully. But the limited time unfortunately does not allow me.
In first semester I took a lecture of Japanese traditional painting. There I could complete a painting of lily. In Japanese paintings, lily is often wrote and in Christianity, lily means innocence or purity.
Now in this second semester I'm taking 31 credits of classes. So I' m a little bit busy;)  (BUT this may be an excuse that I forgot my homework...)

 Next! About my Hirodaifest.
Actually I did nothing for a period of Hirodaifest.  Because I don't belong to any clubs.... Then I bought some sweets my friend sold and met them.
After that I could fortunately see beautiful sunset! Look at this picture! With this scene, my Hirodaifest has finished....!!

Ok, I have to tell you my hometown.
My hometown is Kanagawa which lies between Tokyo and Yamanashi. Check below where it is!
And Sagamihara-city has became really big city. But I don't know to where from where Sagamihara is. Maybe toooooo large!
And near my house there is american base which is surrounded with fence. There I found a cat before 2 years and still have the cat in Hirosaki because I brought him.
I have nothing to write about hometown..... sorry.

bigger map?

In my hometown Kanagawa, snow fall only few like this photo in winter. Obviously this snow must be such no snow for people in Aomori....

Finally came this. Free topic of my interests!
What I really want to talk about is...... my hobby, COOKING!!! I love cooking and baking. Especially my forte is "gnocchi". In Japanese it is called "ニョッキ". This gnocchi is often made from potatos and flour. in the proportion of one to one. I love to make gnocchi with my hand because it makes me fan to round the dough.
Normally I cook it with creme sauce however this photo is not.
If you have never eaten gnocchi, I'll be pleased to cook it for you!!!

So, this is all I wanted to write!

See you tomorrow! Ciao :)

Azusa

Looking for my 100yen

  Good evening, this is Misaki.

This Monday, I had a foolish experience.
Before starting the 5th period, I had to pay 250yen to my friend. That was for some photos. I paid 1000yen bill and waiting for 750yen charge. The next moment, the bell rang. The class started.
I was hurried, and I throw those coins into my purse. Then, those of two were falling, rolling, and missing. I was so embarrassed. One of those missing coins, was found by a boy sitting near by me. But the professor started speaking, so I stopped searching another one.
At 17:30, the bell rang. I started looking for the last 100yen coin again. My friends helped me, but we couldn't find it. Finally, we gave up and going home. I picked up my bag and my umbrella. Then, we heard some noise, and there was a rolling 100yen coin! We surprised, maybe the coin was in my umbrella till I picked it up. My friends said, it just like a comedy or a short comic story. We laughed a lot.
I learned no matter how I am hurried, I mustn't throw coins into the wallet. I was sorry to my friends. But it was a little bit funny.

  Thank you!

My Favorite Festival

Hello. It's me, Chieko. Today, I'll introduce "Tachineputa" to you.

Tachineputa is the festival held in August 4 to 8th in Gosyogawara City. We take tall dolls riding on cars mainly made by paper and wire. Besides, we play flutes, drams, and handbells. And we hop or dance to the music. It is really fun!

(This is the last year's our high school's doll)

Although it is not really certain, it is said that neputa-festival was originally some kinds of the ceremony of floating lanterns on the water. The name is from Japanese word "nemutai", means sleepy.

In my high school, there is a club making tachineputa-dolls. The club also play instruments in the festival. Of course, students not belongs to the club also can take part in the festival. I took part in the festival playing drams and dancing when I was a high school student. When I graduated the high school, was I disappointed that I can't participate in the festival? No. The graduates also can participate in the festival with the students! In fact, I participated in the festival this summer with my friends. I met old friends and enjoyed a lot!

Why don't you see it? You may enjoy a lot, too!

 Thank you.

awesome day

I woke up the third alarm, I felt angry "why don't you ring at the time I ordered !" I drank boiled water which works very much for me not to die in the cold outdoor. It makes me feel like going to the toilet too.

I get thickly dressed, go to school by bicycle not to be late though I don't want to feel a freezing wind. I'll be arrested inside the school for about 10 hours then. I spent a hard time not to lose my heavy eyelids.

At lunch time, I put too much sauce, I needed to drink 10 glasses of water. I entertained my friend, I'm a good man.

I'm not going to write about afternoon classes. Of course I was awake, yeah, there's no room to doubt about it. yes, yes.

At home I ate curry ramen. It was really good. It burned my tongue. And it made me have a sore throat. A table and clothes got stained and I had to wash a lot of dishes.

And I spent two hours to write such a trifling thing. Good night !

My interest

Recently, I'm interested in writing the lyrics in Japanese. I like Japanese language. Because, they have many words and many styles of expressing the thinking.

Apart from that, I write lyrics. As I do that, I can find what I really think about and who I really am. And I knew how difficult expressing my feeling and writing the convincing sentences are. In writing the lyrics, we shoud adjust the number of sounds of letters. But, I'm not trying to write music, so I don't have to do that.

And, I noticed. Unless we really think about that, we never can write the great lyrics. For example, the man who never experenced the lost love never can express the lost love lylics. So, I want to go through many things. As I do that, I can write many variations of lyrics.

Thank you.

My hometown♪

  Good evening. This is Misaki.

My hometown is Fujinomiya City. It is in Shizuoka Prefecture.

Nowadays, the city is famous for fried noodle which named "Fujinomiya yakisoba".
We use steamed noodles to make Fujinomiya yakisoba. It is a little bit hard. (stiffness?) It tastes "Umyaa", which means nice taste in Fujinomiya valve.

Rainbow trout is famous food, too. It's like salmon, but trout lives in cold fresh water.
It is also very popular in America. Last week, I was told it by professor Philips. I searched on the Internet, and surprised, rainbow trout comes from California! It's not Japanese fish. And I understand that some people says too many trouts is not good for Fujinomiya.

If you go to my hometown, it takes long time. But there are lots of other delicious foods and nice views include Mt.Fuji. So please go there someday.

  Thank you.
 (I'm hungry... .)

My Hometown

 Hello, I'm Chieko.

My hometown is Nakasato in Aomori prefecture. It is almost in the middle of Tsugaru peninsula.Could you find it?

It is a small rural town and the proportion of old people to the population is large. There are vast rice fields but nothing else. It is a very quiet place so I can have a relaxed time there.

The town has a library and a museum. These are the places the most I like. The library is very clean and comfortable place. I often go there when I'm in my hometown. And the museum has many interesting goods which were used in Meiji or Edo period by farmers in Tsugaru area. So I used to go there on every Saturday (actually because elementary school students can enter for free on Saturdays).
These are the rink for the library and the museum.

http://www.town.nakadomari.lg.jp/index.cfm/12,0,35,51,html ←library
http://www2.town.nakadomari.aomori.jp/hakubutsukan/ ←museum

There is nothing special but I like my hometown. It is natural and comfortable place for me. Besides, tap water is good and we can drink it directly. I don't say "Please come to my hometown!" but I like Nakasato very much.

 Thank you.

Hokkkkkaaaaidoooooo

I'm from somewhere in Hokkaido. I want to ski there because I couldn't do last year not to fail an important entrance exam. I miss that wind.
   Hokkaido has realistic moai. Look.

Can you distinguish between real one and this if you didn't see its background?

And this is a building once I've thought it was Kokkaigijido. Kokkaigujido means the Diet Building. In fact, it's just a high school in Sapporo. I'll be glad if anybody think so.
That's all.   Bye.

About my hometown

Hello, I'm Rendai.
I'm telling you about my hometown.

I'm from Aomori City, which is famous for apples and garlics.Aomori's apples are really delicious. I really like them! In Aomori, not only apples, but also apple juices are really famous. Garlics are really nutritious. There are Black Garlic, kind of garlic. We can eat them in raw. They are peculiar sweet.

In Aomori, there is very very famous and interesting festival. It is Nebuta Festival in summer. We play flute, beat drums, ring bells, or jump in that festival. They all play the same rhythm. Nebutas are very big! They are made from papers. I don't know how they are made. But, maybe it's really hard.

In fact, my parents' house is in the country. There is nothing special. But, there is a shore near their house. I usually went there when I got depressed. I like the nature. So, I can feel refleshed. And, I really hate the crowded place like Tokyo. So,
I 'm fit for the country.

Now, I live in Hirosaki. It is easy to go my home town by train because the distance is close. So I can go back my parents' home easily when I feel like going back. I'm really happy.

Thank you.

Hirodaisai

 Hello. I'm Chieko.

In October 26th to 28th, Hirodaisai, the school festival in Hirosaki University, was held. I heard many people went there, and my friends enjoyed it. But I went there only on Friday.

Why? I don't belong to any clubs, so I had nothing to do with shops. That means I have three days off! So I went back home and had a relaxed time.

But I was interested in the festival, so I went there on Friday. I went with my friend in dormitory in the afternoon. We first went to the shop which my friend who belongs to Karuta club runs. They sold "anmitsu". I like sweets so I bought one cup of anmitsu. My friend was so glad because I was the first customer to them.

After that, we two walked around seeing many shops. There were so many people. Some people talk to us to sell their goods. Actually, I don't like crowded place very much and I felt very tired, so we went home. We were in the festival for only two hour!

That's all about my time in festival. But my friends say they enjoyed it, so I want to enjoy it more next year!

The university festival [include a photo]

  Good evening, this is Misaki.

Last Saturday, October 27 was the middle day of our university festival. I had a lot of fun.

I sold Genghis Khan barbecue, or grilled mutton and vegetables, as a member of our club.
My friends cooked, and older students sold it.

                                  My teammates
                       ↙                   ↓                  ↘

And I advertised our booth. I walked around the crowd, showing the signboard our booth's name was written.

My work was finished around noon. I ate lunch and went to the computer room. There was an event to talk with a professor in Bangkok on Skype. When I entered the room, many cars and motorcycles caught my eyes. The professor taught us about his daily life in Bangkok. Sometimes we could hear Thailand people talking. I understood Bangkok is a big city.

After that, I went back to our booth, and started advertising again. Finally, our Genghis Khan barbecue was sold out. I was happy to hear that.

I'm looking forward to go to many other booths next year.

  Thank you.

HIRODAISAI

Hello, I'm Rendai.

I was tired. I got tired of school festival.
I'm in enviroment circle.

We sold frankfurter sausage, curry and nan.
They sold well.
Because it was really cold day and rained last day, people wanted hot menu, I think.
And, we had really great mascot.
We had kechup and mastard and mario and luigi!
They were really popular, especilly among children.

I did serving customers.
I said "How about frankfurter!" and so on, with loud voice.
I was tired.

But, I really enjoyed myself!

HIRODAISAI

Last weekend, we had a school festival ? I don't know how to call it because university is a place to learn or study but we don't call it a school. hmm.......

All right, we had a festival. Really different from school festival that I've experienced at high school. We weren't allowed to cook, just to buy and sell something which has already been packed. But this time, there were a lot of fire, smoke, hot plates and so on.  Is it because we've already grown up to be ? I'll be happy if so be.

It is said that many events are great too. Actually I saw few events. I just went through its main street to eat something.

And I think it was very lucky that we could see fireworks as a final event because it was raining then.

This is not good picture but you can know how be crowded there.   Bye.

My major

  Hello, this is Misaki.
Today, I'm going to write about my major.

I major in earthscience, or geoscience.
I'm from Shizuoka Prefecture. It is said the Tokai Earthquake will comes. My family and many friends live there. There is a big volcano, Mt.Fuji, too.
So I thought I have to study about the mechanism of earthquake and volcanic eruption.

I'm in the department of earth and environmental sciences in Hirodai.
Most of my friends want to study about weather, earth environment, and space. In this department, we can learn many things about the earth. We need math and physical skills, but I don't have such skills yet.
I want to study about the relation of natural disaster and our life. Forecasting of earthquake is so difficult, however.

This picture is earthquake locations (Tohoku and Kanto Regions) for the last 7 days.
This is from "Hi-net". I usually check this page.

My Major

Hello!

Today, I'll introduce my major in Hirosaki University.

I belong to Department of Frontier Material Chemistry.
Yes, I major in chemistry.

We learn about mechanism of chemical reaction.
And our goal is to be able to create new materials or new methods of chemical reactions.
It is not easy, but I want to make a new discovery someday.

The reason that I chose this department is very simple.
I like chemistry.
When I learned chemistry in the high school, I wanted to know more about details of mechanisms of many kinds of reactions.

Since I am still a freshman, I still do not do experiments, however.
I'm looking forward to the the days I can do experiments in the class.
But sadly, we must write a report after each experiment.
It sounds..... hard.
Maybe we will be busy every day.

Do you want more information?
If so, please access our department's web site.
You can access it from here
http://www.st.hirosaki-u.ac.jp/~chem/

Thank you.

Hi.I'm Rendai.

I'm in the faculty of science and technology.
I major in Programing.

We learn how to operate computer and how to produce computer.
We practice to operate BASIC, C++ now.
As we grade up,we'll learn an algorithm, soft computing, and so on.
We need large knowledge of mathematics and physics to operate programing.
Especially, we have to study math hard.
Because,we have to calculate complicated numerical by programing.

We learn how to assemble electronic circuit and a semiconductor and many utensil.
As it, we know how to produce computer.

We'll be a great programer!

What's my major? in Univ...

Hi.

 This time, about my major.
Its long name is "Department of Intelligent Machines and System Engineering, Faculty of Science and Technology".
Memorize it!

A machine works if you turn it on. And you have to operate it according to the situations. But, an intelligent machine is different. It owns some sensor to know its around, it owns intelligence to decide what it should do according to the situation found out by its sensor. We can call it a "New Future Machine".

The department aims at a better world than ever, in a way of making intelligent machines. Most of the students does too, I think.

Now, classes that I have to attend is just 6 (3 classes of physics(include experiments), 2 classes of math, and a class of information). And most of the classes(not have to)are basic education, it's very lucky now. I shudder at the thought of my future days being filled with math and science.

You may visit links below if you want.

Restaurant in Hirosaki

Hay, do you like to eat some nice food?
If you want to do so, just ask me!

I always think where I can get good taste food here in Hirosaki and I'm sure that there is here low price or nice food.
In last week, I asked a professor of product design whether there are the restaurant in which we my friends and I can be satisfied in visual or sight.

And we could finally go to the restaurant "Ginsuisyokudou" (in Japanese:銀水食堂)

The restaurant is actually a old japanese kitchen.
So if you look for old dear Japan, you must be pleased there.

This photo was taken in last week and this Tonkatsu-Teishoku costs 700 yen.
Besides the rice was soooooo big bowl.... I could'n eat it up...

The location is Kaji-machi near the Kakumikoji (street name) which is in front of Nakasan.

In internet you can NOT find this kitchen ;)

See you later!

Japanese Traditional Play

These days, I am interested in "origami."
It is one of the Japanese traditional play.

We usually fold one paper to form many kind of things.
For example, we make animals, flowers, fish, and so on.
Sometimes we use several papers to make big productions such as dinosaurs.
But some people make such kind of things with only one paper!

I also tried to make big work using only one paper, but... I gave up when I make half.
That was really complex!
I'd like to try again during winter vacation.
But I can make a squirrel in the heart in about 7 minutes.
It looks so cute, so I like making it.

By the way, the skill of "origami"is used to make a satellite.
I think that is honor to Japanese people.
Sadly, I can't write a detail (because I don't have enough vocabulary),so if you want more information, please search.
You may find the news with the word "miura-ori."

I found it interesting because I can make various things from one paper.
That is amazing, isn't it?
Now I would like to try to make many things and enjoy the play which people in the past day enjoyed.

Cats & Dogs

Good evening, this is Misaki.

Which do you like, cats or dogs?
We sometimes hear this question.

Actually, I don't like dogs so much. When I was six years old, my neighbor's dog bitten me. I cried and ran away.
Now I understand not every dogs want to bite me, but I can't touch them. ;-(

I like cats. I used to draw many cats' illustrations with my brother when I was small.
My grandmother made a cat puppet and two rabbits puppet for us. Those were so cute! xD
I guess I like rabbits the most. Or maybe I just like my family members.

Please be careful when the typhoon is coming.
It'll be raining cats and dogs, I mean, heavy rain!

LED ZEPPELIN

Interviewed my friend who loves Led Zeppelin

Led Zeppelin is a famous English rock band (1968-1980).
members

  Jimmy Page    guitarist
  Robert Plant   singer
  John Paul Jones   Bassist/keyboardist
  John Bonham    drummer

According to my friend, they can perform every genre(relaxing-madly exciting). And he likes to play guitar, he talked about Jimmy Page with enthusiasm.
It is said that Jimmy Page is one of the biggest three guitarist in the world. His guitar techniques isn't as good as other famous guitarists, but he is really cool, really really cool. Jimmy Page performs with his guitar held very low position. and he performs with his mouth like kissing. And cool. He uses double-necked 12-string guitar(gibson EDS-1275) in order to make depth sound. He also established refrain-based music. He is genius at song-making. He works as though he's an producer of the song, and group.

Then let me tell you my friend's favorites.

You may know "immigrant song" and "whole lotta love". These are their representative hard rock song , used in CM many times.
If you like beautiful, quiet song, "Thank you"will be your taste.

And his the best, "stairway to heaven". This is famous all over the world. It's a song mixed relaxing and hard rock. Karajan (master of classic) comments about this song, "No more arrangement needed if I perform it accompanied by an orchestra."

My friend looked as if he couldn't help stopping to give his favorite songs (more than 20 songs he gave)

What a wonderful !   You must listen !

I'm Chieko Kogawa

Hello!

My name is Chieko Kogawa. I am a freshman of Hirosaki University, and I major in chemistry. I like chemistry very much, so I'm really happy to learn it.

I'm from Nakasato in Aomori prefecture. Although it is a small rural town, I like my hometown very much because it is a very quiet place. My parents grow rice there, so I can always eat delicious rice. But now I am living in Hirosaki because Nakasato is too far from Hirosaki to go to the university every day.

When I'm free, I often cook or read a book. I can make hamburg stake, nikujaga, oyakodonn, and so on. I usually make meat dish, so I'm worried that I'm lacking in vegetable! Of course, I can also make sweets. On my friend's birthday, I made a banana cake for her. Next time I'm going to make some sweets using sweet potato.

Since I have been studying at my desk or reading books, I'm not good at playing sports. In fact, I don't like sports very much. But I want to become a teacher, so now I must attend sports class! It makes me very depressed.

Anyway, I'll try hard in English ⅢB class!

Thank you.

Good Bye

I learnd how to write a paragraph or essay in this class. I wrote many many sentences. At frist, writing English sentences was tough for me and I made many mistakes about English writing skills. However, I acquired ability to write better English sentences. I'm glad to see you and I think I have to make more effort to write a good English paragraph. Have a good summer vacation, thank you.

My Club

I belong to Igo Club. I think go is the most interesting game and I have played go when I was a junior high school student., so I decided to join Igo Club in this university. Yesterday, go meeting was held in Mutsushinpo. I participated in the meeting for recording games. Some of my seniors played the tournament and one of them placed fourth. I want to say to him "Congratulations." His skill of go is top-class in my club and he is much stronger than me. Although I was busy studying for final exams, I was glad to take part in the meeting.

Amazing Grace

Before the class, I knew this song but I didn't know that how this song was made and that this song was sung all over the world. Why is this song so famous? Is it because that this song is a hymn? I think that this song is readily-accepted for many people and taht the lyrics have something important significant for them through their own experience.

FEBRUARY ONE

I watched four students' act with courage in this video. They learned thinking of Mahatma Gandhi or they protested against Jim Crow by non-violence. I was impressed by their courage. I thought that the black citizens were given civil rights and that the first black president was elected in the United States as the result of effort which brave people like them made.

"Wherever You Will Go"

I have English ⅢA class. The other day I knew a song in the class. The song is "Wherever You Will Go" sung dy The Calling. This song was released on July 10th, 2001. However, this song sold well in the fall of that year. Why do you think so? According to Mr.Murayama, who is my English ⅢA calss teacher, "The simultaneous terrorist attacks happened in the fall of the year. The words to the song was superimposed on the grief in the tragic accident." The song is sang, "If I could, then I would, I'll go wherever you will go." I think this song is powerful and makes listeners encouraging.

If you want to listen to the music, you can listen in this site.
