Hi, guys! My name is Rena Tsushima. I'm second year at Hirosaki university now. I've been living in Aomori prefecture since I was born, so I'm a native speaker of TSUGARUBEN.

I'm studying nursing at the university. So I'd like to be a nurse after graduation. In addition, I've wanted to work in the poor contry like the Africa since I was in the junior high school. Because of this, my dream is to hep peoplle who can't take medical care.

My hobby is watching Korean TV programs and listening to Korean music. Because of this hobby, I can understand and speak little Korean language. Also I'm interested in languages. I had been studying Chinese for a year during my first year at the university. I like interacting with foreign students, too.

I went to New Zealand to study for a month. New Zealand was really beautiful country and I had quite good experience. However one month was really short time. If it's possible, I'd like to study abroad for a year, especially at my love country South Korea:-)

Introduce about myself

  Hi. My name is Tsuzura Kikuchi. I would like to introduce about myself. I was born in Towada city which is beautiful city. It is quiet famous for Lake Towada. Most of people visit Lake Towada in season of colored leaves, because it is really beautiful.
   I am interested in foreign language and sports. I love learning interesting language especially Finnish. It is known that Finnish is difficult and not similar to other European language. However I gess it is easy to pronounce for Japanese. That why when japanese speak Finnish, we are praised by native people. If you are interesed in it, I recommend you! And also I love playing sports. I play basketball and soccer. I am a member of futsal circle in my university. Nowadays it is quiet popular that girls play soccer. I have played it for 4 years, I have started when I was a high school student. My favorite soccer player is Honda. Because he is stoic and strong.
  In conclusion, I have a thing which I want to try this year. It is I want to try a new language and a new sport which I have never tyied.

Free Topic: Differences between the U.S. & Japan

Hello, everyone! SORRY I'm late to post. Actually, I have to write many articles about movies, vacations etc.... But I have nothing to write about them :D

People often discuss the differences between the U.S. & Japan. They say that it is the food, languages or something. Surely, they are clear examples of differences. Both of them are totally different. However, how can we explain the characteristics of both nations' people? I think the differences are in the robots. We can know their characteristics by seeing their robots.

First, watch these video and compare them.


The first one is the "ASIMO" of Honda in Japan. He can walk around and avoid human (he recognize the difference between objects and human)! And it looks cute :) The second video shows the robots of Boston Dynamics. Boston Dynamics is famous for its "Big Dog." Its form is unrefined and machanical, however, they have great performances for transferring.

Considering both robots' concepts, I guess that Japaneses think the robots as the partners of human beings. The developers of Japan are seeking the dream in the robots. On the other hands, Americans think the practical use while they make the robots. In addition,I think that American developers think the practical use as the 1st priority in the field of not only robots but also other things. Take the Internet, for example, the U.S. tends to think the technology as a part of militarily technologies.

I watched a movie in my vacation. The movie is "Tales of Vesperia The First Strike".This is based on video game named Tales of Vesperia. The hero, Yuri retired knight in the first of the game.In the game, the reason doesn't know, but this movie reveals the reason.

Tales are role playing games. There are a lot of series. They have been 18 years since Tales have been sold.Good characters, good stories,and good systems, these are good points of Tales. But, words can't describe all good points. If you have a time and money, please try this games.Thank you.

Good evening everyone!

I talk about my rowing club life here.

I belonged to the rowing club when I was a high school student.


The sports is very very hard.

For the race, I trained everyday.

It is a normal one-day menu to go and down stairs ten times, to run the city about 8km and to row 5km with rowing machine in case of  field training.

In case of training on the river, I have rowed the boat many many round trips.


In game, The players must keep rowing some kilometers.

They can't relax even for a second while rowing , because a bit of miss stops their boat, it means they will lose.

Very very very exciting!!
A win-lose situation made me feel thrilled!!





My rowing club's life is my treasure.

It was 50 years anniversary of the school last year.
I spent all of my high school life there.
It was very comfortable because the school building is new and beautiful.

Well, I want to write about my dormitory where I've lived since last March.
                          


It's "Hokumei-ryo".
This photo is too much nice. It seemed like a ruin of school when I saw at first time.
But "Once you live in a place, it grows on you", I think.
There are some events and wonderful boarding students in Hokumei-ryo.
Welcome party for new students, dormitory festival, farewell party for graduating students and so on.
Because all residents are male, I cannot place pictures of all events....
You cannot understand why? Then ask other residents, if you really want to know the reasons...


Many people say they don't want to live there.
But I have known a lot of goodness of Hokumei-ryo.
So Iwant to say to them "Why don't try it?"

I'll talk about "Yosakoi"
Yosakoi is a folk of Kochi prefecture using "naruko" and the word "yosarikoi" changed it.

There are many Yosakoi teams in Japan.
In Hirosaki University,there is one team  called "Hirodai Enbujin" and I belong to it.
I'm the tenth generation of it and take charge of choreography.

Now,I can dance about 9 pieces.

This is the picture which we danced in Maeda arena on December 1 last year.
We dance this piece of music the most in various events.
The name is "Gouka Saijin"(煌華祭陣).
I like it the best.

This team is "Soutenhiryu" ,which is in Aomori city.
I like the dance of this team very much.
It is very cool and wonderful.
I think this team is the most strong team in Aomori.


Yosakoi is impressed with the heart of many people.
This year,we'll take part in some events.
For example,on the Star Festival and the School Festival.
So if you have free time,please come and watch our dance!

OK, I will write on movie that I wanna watch because recent topic was "MOVIE".

First, I wanna watch again " The Great Dictator".
The reason is because the actors spoke English little bit faster than the present cinema, I cannot hear their talking clearly some parts. Also,  the last speech in the movie was so amazing. His talking made all people change at least me, I thought.

Second, it is "Invisible children".
Most of you might not know this movie, I think.
This is on child soldiers documentary movie which was created by 3 young Americans.
Because I wrote thiesis on child soldiers in Uganda when I was third-year-high school student, this movie attract me so much.

Today was warm temperature and I was very surprised that it was rainy.

My father likes Chaplin, and I was often recommended watching the movies of Chaplin by my father.
I also like Chaplin because not only he is funny, but also his movies have strong massages.

Last week, we watched "The Great Dictator".

The movie makes you laugh and think what is happy and the big mistake of human being.

The funny story has a blame for Nazism and Adolf Hitler.

I felt the work of Chaplin was very worth to watch and I was lucky to watch it.

Add to, I was surprised and Chaplin and Paulette, who played the heroine, were parteners in both their job and in private.

The Great Dictator

Hi, everyone.
We watched "The Great Dictator" last Friday.
I had never watched this movie, so I really enjoyed.

The story starts with the scene of a battlefield.
A man (acted by Chaplin) meets an injured man in the war.
The two take plane and the plane falls.
But they escape death.

Some years later, the country where the man running barbershop lives is under the control of "The Great Dictator."
He resembles the man of barbershop (the dictator is also acted by Chaplin) but they are each another persons.

Thus, in this movie, Chaplin acts two persons.
I think it is very interesting idea.
But I was confused a little because the face of barbershop runner and that of the dictator is the same.
Tomorow, I try to understand the story completely!

I had been interested in his movies, for example 「The Gold Rush」,「Modern Times」 and so on.
I was glad to watch the movie.


This movie was his first talkie films.
In the movie, he acts two or three roles(I'm not sure).
A barber "Charlie" and a dictator "Ginckell". His face is like his one by chance.
I want to know the end of thier stories.

And in one program, Kouichi Yamadera dubbed in Japanese.So, I was interested in Chaplin.

When I watched this movie in class, I thought this movie was fun.

It is getting warmer outside recently... I strongly wish continuing this weather so long... hahaha.



Anyway, this "the great dictator" Charlie Chaplin made was so amazing.

Especially, I am considering now we cannot make such one even high technology and with color.
Despite this movie originally set in a war and is about madness, persecution, and power, Chaplin create movie including funny contents.
No one cannot do same as him, I think.
I might become his followers because of the first watching Chaplin made.

  Good morning, everyone! Recentry, I have so much snow. I`m thinking about how to use this a lot of, and useless snow. How about eatihg snow with sweet syrup?

  We are watching a movie [The great dictator].
  Now, a movie get the talk [Gravity]. I haven`t watched this. it is said this movie`s expression of zero gravity (and the plot) is amazing. But it is natural many years improve the CG expression. In the great dictator, there was a scine of flying plane. This is turely amazing becouse the way to show is so original.

I talk about the movie which I selected in class.
I selected "Hamlet".
This movie is a work of Shakespeare,which was written in about 1600.
It  is one of the fourth tragedy of Shakespeare and  it is the longest in a drama of his work.
And it is famous so that it becomes the stage in Japan.


I had heard the name,but have never seen.
So I thought this is a good chance to see when I found the movie in class.

In fact,I felt it to be very interesting when we watched last Wednesday.

Good morning.
The best movie in class I chosed is Macbeth.
This story is a tragedy. I'll introduce the story a little.
Macbeth, who is Scottish commander of samurai, was taken in by an witch's prophecy.
Then, he conspired with his wife, killed king Duncan, and came to the throne.
However, his wife killed herself and he was also defeated in the end.
It's too short introduction.
I don't like tragic stories very much, but this movie striked me.

Although I have never seen foreign movies, I knew the name of Chaplin and his movies because my

high school English teacher talk passionately about his works. He recommend us we watch his works.

Movie Which I Wanted To Watch

 By the way, last Friday, we chose "A Great Dictator" for a movie which we gonna watch at the next class. And it was just a movie I wanted to watch! So I'm looking forward to watch it next class.

 I know that Chaplin is a worldwide grate entertainer of 20th century. But I haven't ever seen his film before so I want to feel and enjoy the world of Chaplin.

Today, I’ll talk somethig about movies.
For a long time, I have wanted to watch some plays or movies of Shakespeare.
I know Shakespeare is really famous for dramatist and poet.
Unfortunately, I’ve never watched his works.

last Wednesday, my dream came ture!
I was very happy and very exciting then.
Last Wednesday, we watched “Hamlet”.

It is kind of tragic drama and it is written by Shakespeare.
Hamlet is the prince of Denmark.
His father is killed and took over his throne by Hamlet’s uncle.
Hamlet tried to take vengeance upon his uncle.
The last seems very sad.

For example, “Much Ado About Nothing”.
Do you know that?

I did not know about the work before watching a TV program the other day.
In that program, a Japanese girl went to the school of musical in the U.S.A. and she prepared stage design of “Much Ado About Nothing” that student of the school play.
This is the reason I know the works and I’m interested in it.
I don’t know about it very much, so I cannot write the summary in the blog, sorry ：(

 Good evening everyone. I'll write about MIB.


 The series is based on the urban legend 「Men in Black」. Men in Black is a private agency. This agency is some kind of extra terrestrial surveillance corporation. Then one of the best agency named "K" is recruiting for a new agency. He finally choose a police man "James Edwards." James start new life as the agent "J". "K"and"J" work together, but....

  This MIB was opened to the public in 1997 in the United States, and few months later opened to the public in Japan.

  My first watch was on TV when I was about 10 years old. I like Will Smith who played J since I watched this movie.  I like the character. What J says and thinks are always a bit off the point. So he was chosen. MIB needs no common sense. K also liked him.

 And MIB's tools will arouse our curiosity. Most interesting tool is "flash." If you watch the red flash of the tool, you will forget some memories of the period MIB sets on the tool.


I don't think there are someone has never seen this fantastic movie. If there are, I recommend that you watch it.

Something about the Movies Introduced in the Class

After hearing the introduction about the movies in the class, I am very interested in the Alfred Hitchcock‘s movie. I know he is a very famous movie director. But I just saw one  of his movie, “Vertigo”. It is very interesting, especially the unexpected ending. Hitchcock‘s movie is almost belong to suspense genre, seeing his movie I entirely attracted by the story and concentrated in it. 

The movie was made in 1958. An very old movie. Its Japanese name is "めまい". And it’s very worth to watch, if you like suspense movies. I think he is very good at making a tense and frightening atmosphere. 

       Another movie of Hitchcock -“Psycho” is also introduced in the class. It seems
interesting too. But it seems more frightening than “Vertigo”. 

     I saw the Japanese movie "告白". I think this movie is also the same genre. And it's very interesting too. Also have an unexpected ending.

Hi.
Last lesson we took on Friday was so exciting, wasn't it?
I did not know Mr.Phillips has such a huge number of DVDs or videos.
I expect these were just a tip of an iceberg in his collection, because you know, he is quite high intelligence person.

Anyway, one of the best movie is MIB <3
You might hear the name and watch this before because main cast, Tommy Lee Jones, is so famous for coffee's commercial as a alien and you have seen it just once, I am sure.



Including 1 to 3 seasons of this movie, my best is the last series, MIB 3.
You may think what is different from those 1 and 2, I cannot tell here because I want you to wait and see.
However just remember, MIB3 is the end ( it is beginning in fact) of this series.

Moreover, what I want to watch recently is "Goodbye bafana".
I wonder if Mr Phillips showed me this, but I just remember there was the movie related to Nelson Mandela.



When I was in high school, I could know him on textbook.
I consider it could be some destiny things to meet him.
Because our high school was a quite unique, and we could learn a lots of international incidents in class such as gender, conflicts, famine, food or distinction including Apartheid.
I could know who he is and also how he lives in a life, for me, he is one of respect... no, sorry I cannot say here, I feel he stands close to god.
Without him, I am sure there would not stay present South Africa now.
Unfortunately, he died last year, but he is still living in my heart forever.
That is why ( sorry, it might not be the answers...) I want to watch this.
If you have time or not,  I strongly recommend to watch.

  Hi, everuone.

   I`ll write down about movies itroduced in the class. It is presure to see review about these movies on the Internet.

At first, 

MIB

   For me, English leaner?, comedy is difficult to understand because I can`t tell the funy scine. But this is one of the movies that I to watch movies in English. In this connection, the other movie is Pirates of Caribbean.

BLUES BROTHERS

 

   This movie`s mosic is so cool. And, this also contain a dirty. If you are not cut out for this, I don`t recommend this.
  And Ray Charles played in the Blues Brothers.

Ray 

   I haven`t watched this. After knowing this movie, I serched about Ray Charles a little. I had admireed him because he was facing with handicap and his music is soulful. My view to him has changed.

   There are more good movies (It`s a Wonderful Life!, Shane...)!

My Winter Vacation

 I had a concert of Hirosaki University Wind Ochestra on December 27th. I played the french horn. My mother came to the concert from Hokuto. It was a long day.

 Next day, I went back to my hometown, Hokuto with my mother. That night, I went to the party which my brass band club member and a teacher of when I was in 1st grade of junior high school gathered. After that, I took Pri-Cra with 4 boy members !

 On 29th, I went to the concert which my piano teacher held. My brother and band members of my high school performed at the concert. My brother plays the trumpet. He is learning it from my piano teacher's husband. He teaches all the brass and wind instruments.

 On 30th,  I went to my grandmother's house to make some rice cakes. My brother, cousin and aunt were there too. At evening, I went to the buffet restaurant with my family and relatives. The foods were so delicious !

 On January 1st, I went to church to attend the new year service in the morning. I got the bookmark which a passage from the Bible is written. After that, I went to my grandmother's house and got some Otoshidama.

 On 3rd, I met to former classmates of junior high school. We talk a lot all through the night. I think they are my best friend of my life.

 On 4th, I went to my high school and taught some 8 brass members of their wind ochestra.  They were the member of enemble contest. Also my brother was the member. They played so difficult piece. They won the Hakodate Area contest and they will participate in the All Hokkaido contest. I'm so proud of them. That night, I came back to Hirosaki.

my winter vacation

I'm sorry to be late.

My vacation went by very quickly.
I have two memories in particular.
First, I went to ION SHOPPING MALL in Kashiwa on December 28th.
I like train trip, so I took a train.
I enjoyed shopping and browsing at many stores very much.
I got a very cute knit hat.
I had such a productive day.

Second, I visited some shrines and a temple at the beginning of the new year.
This is an yearly routine of my family.
My family go to the horyuji temple just after the turn of the year and go to the each temples of ichidaisama, which means enshrining animal symbols.
I was born in the year of the Boar, so I casted a paper fortune in hachimansama, resulting in average good luck.
I'll hang tough this year as well consulting this fortune 😊

I'll write about my favorite movie.

It's "fast&furious". In Japan, called "wild speed".
It's a production of Universal Pictures and six titles have been released   since 2001.
Vin Diesel and Paul William Walker IV have stared in this series except for the 3rd title.

It is a story of those guys who like cars and driving them on streets.
Their love , fellowship and big dream are described in the movie.

But November 30th, 2013 a shocking accident happened.
Paul Wauker and his friend were dead in a traffic accident.
Next year, 2015, his last starred movie will be released.
I'll never miss it.

I spent the vacation with my family or friends.

My family haven't changed a bit.
I was happy when I knew that my grandmother, grandfather and the other members were fine.
But I want my grandmother not to do housework so hard. She is not  in her twenties or thirties.
I hope my grandparent's long life.



My friends also were fine. Their figure have changed, but they are my friends.
January 2, we went to karaoke and sang all night. It's harder than working all night at convenience store for me.
But it was so pleasant.

It was a great vacation!
I wish the vacation would have lasted forever.

Winter Vacation

Good morning.

I spent most of my vacation with my family.
On New Year's Eve, my mother prepared special dinner.
We had a nice time to eat dinner,watch the Red and White singing contest (which is called Kouhaku utagassen in Japanese), and talk with each other.

On New Year's Day, we visited my grandmother lives in Tsuruta town.
I saw relatives after a long time,and talk about my school life and so on.
I was given Otoshidama,so I was very happy :)
I made a promise to go to the concert with grandmother this February.
I'm really looking forward to.

Unfortunately, I couldn't go Hatsumode this year but I hope that I have a nice year.

My Vacation

  Good morning, everyone! I`m listening to youtube, Blingirl English.

  I came back my hometown, Hachinohe in winter vacation.
  I went from Hirosaki to Hachinohe with rain boots. That is because it was just un case snowy days when coming to Hirosaki. But in Hachinohe, there is seldom snow. So I stood out!











  I ate to much because Hachinohe`s food are so good!

  I can eat nice seafood.



  Over the New Year holidays, relatives get together. After watching the movie summer wars, I think that the bond between them is so important. What`s more, it is fun to meat them sometimes.

I  had  been  to  osaka、kyoto、nara、kobe  and  Tokyo  for  this vacation  with my  friend  for  12days. osaka This  city  has  the  rich flavour  of  business, and  the  life style、construction  style  looks very similar  to  shanghai  in  China. kyoto  impressed me  most  is that there  are  so many  famous  temples  and  the  street  there  looks  like very  traditional. I  went  to  the  Meijijinggu  to  wait  for  new  year, there  are  so  many  people  together  which  made  me  very  excited. And  it’s  a very  good  chance  for  me  to  know  more  about  what  do the  Japanese  will  do  to  celebrate  the  festival  and  to  welcome  new  year. I  also  went to  Shinjuku、harajuku、yikebukuro、ginza. It’s  also  a  very  good  chance  for  me  to  know  more  about   the  culture  in   Japan. In  short, I  had  a  very  good  time  in  this  vacation  and   I  hope  I  can  have  more  chance  to  go  around  Japan.

In winter vacation, I returned my hometown in December 24th.I spent X-mas with my family.I ate sushi,potato fly,Ramen salad. They are very very delicious.We also ate X-mas cake.It is too sweet for me to finish eating.
I met with my old friends in high school.We went to restraunt which We can eat we like in free time.We talked very much.We also went to caraoke. We sung 150 songs.We enjoyed very very much.
In,January 1st,I did treaning.I played hukkin 2014 times.I was very tired. But,I did my best.

My favorite movie is detective conan.It is japanese annimation.
It is popular young people.
The main person is konan.He is a elementary school student.He is very smart.He names detective.He can solve many cases.
In fact,He had solved many many cases we

There are nighteen conan movies.
I recommend you watch Jolly Roger in the Deep Azure.
It is about treasure hunter.Treasure is the key in that.A lot of case happens in that movie.
It is also comedic.

I enjoyed winter vacation.

I met my friend in my senior high school　after a long time. We went to see a movie and went to karaoke.


I spent New Year's holiday with my family.

I ate Toshikosi-soba while I was watching TV on New Year's Eve.
During New Year,TV program is very interesting every year,so I was laughing to see a comedy show.XD
I like TV program called "24 hours when you must not laugh."

On New Year's Day,I bought a lucky bag of clothes.
I got a profit because I was satisfied with its contents. I was lucky!

I visited a shirine during New Year.
When I drew a sacred lot,it was good luck!

Trip during the holiday

   Good evening everyone.I'm Kou Syunko.

   I had a trip during the winter holiday. I went to Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe, Nara, and Tokyo. Trip was so interesting that I don't want to come back. Every day is full of new experience. AndI I like Kyoto and Nara. Maybe I will go there for another time.

 There are so many peopele in Osaka and Tokyo. Sometimes I like going to a crowded place. Especially when I went to Meijijingu for "hatumoude", there are so many people waiting for the New Year, even sang songs together. Its very interesting to know how Jpanese spend their New Year.

   Kyoto and Nara have many temples and old architectures. I wanted to spend more time there, but I didn't have enough time.

   In Tokyo I went to Tokyo Tower, and saw the night sight of Tokyo. It was very beautiful. But didn't enable to go to the Sky Tree. So many people were waiting there, waiting for it may take 3hours or more, so I gave up to see it.

   It was a very busy trip, and a little tired. But very interesting .

I might say at the time of self-introduction but my favorite movie is Studio Ghibli's annimation.

Hayao Miyazaki retired last year,so I was very sad.

All of his works are wonderful,especially popular movie is "My neighbor Totoro."
Everyone may know it.
I think Japanese people have watched it since childfood.

There are many scenes about events children experience and curiosity they feel.

I never get tired of watching this movie.

Both adults and children can have fun!

I looked for it in You Tobe but I couldn't find my favorite scene. I'msorry.

Good evening, everyone.

I haven't told about my favorite movie.
I'm sorry to be late.

My favorite movie is "Swing Girls."
It is a Japanese movie.
The casts are Juri Ueno, Shihori Kanziya, Yuta Hiraoka and so on.
Have you ever watched this movie?
I've watched it three or four times.

The story is about high school girls.
They spend time at school during summer vacation,because they must take supplementary lessons.
One day, they meet with Jazz Band by chance.
They practice very hard and in the last scene, they do great performance.
Whenever I watch this movie, the performance moves me greatly.

Winter vacation

Happy New Year everyone!!!
How was your holidays?

I went back to my hometown for 8 days.
In Shizuoka, it was warmer than Hirosaki.
So I felt a little hot.

I enjoyed singing at karaoke, eating dinner and driving with my local friends.

At the end of the year, I  watched TV with my family at home.
So I could relax very much.
And I made use of the experience of the single life and helped to cook.

On January 2th, I went to a shrine for a New Year's visit and went shopping.
I bought some clothes and necessaries of life.


It was a lot of fun to play with my friends and spent with my family.
I was happy to be able to enjoy this vacation.

Winter vacation

Happy New Year Everyone!!
I look forward to your continued good will in the coming year.

I spent  this winter vacation enjoyning many things in contrast last year.Then, we are examinee so we don' t have enough time to waste time and have to study.

That's why I decided to enjoy the vacation very much with abandon.

I went to my hometown and stayed there about 10days.
While, I went to karaoke, bowling and game center with my local friends.

In addition, I participated the practice of rowing club which I had joined when I was a high school student. However, Beyond my expectation, I was worn out by the menu which I did easily when I was an active player.Finally, I vomited after the practice...

Also, I spent much time with my family.
It's very fun to eat meals with all members.
It's very fun to visit Nasu-Highlands with family.


On the whole, I enjoyed the vacation.

Winter Vacation

Hi, how was your vacation?
For me, it was so busy travel and had a tight schedule.
I got a five-day intensive course of based politics from December 23th to 27th.
These days were really fruitful and I think these were good beginning of this vacation.
From 28th to January 1th, I visited my grandparents and ate a lot with my mother.
They seemed to feel good and I was totally satisfied to talk to them.
On January 2th, I went back to my hometown, Sapporo and because of big sale had been held around city, while going to Hokkaido shrine, I dropped Sapporo station for buying sale staff.
Most of clothes or shoes clold perchase 70 percent off, so I asked my mother to be bought for me a lot.
On January 4th, I visited 'longsleeves' store to prepare for next year celebration which is a coming -of-age ceremony.
Store clerks clould dress me up gorgerusly with beautiful small items.
Even the ceremony would be next yaer, I am looking for coming the day.

This winter vacation was so fruitfull even so tight schedule.
