I was looking at your self-introductions from the first class, and I noticed that most of you had interesting hobbies and interests. This week's assignment will let you tell the rest of us about your interests and hobbies, and help you learn English, too.

I'll start. I like Africa, and I like to get news about Africa. I have a links page about African Studies on my site. But my site for this assignment is AllAfrica.com, a news site with stories from and about Africa. I even have a page on my site from AllAfrica.com, which has stories about Nigeria, and stories about US-African relations, as well as the most recent stories from the continent.

Oh my GOD !

My personal computer was broken last midnight!!!
I couldn't open the Internet Explore.
So, I didn't post blog...



Now, I show you my plan about my vacation.
First, I want to ski.
I was 3years old when I started skiing.
I like skiing very much!
If I have enough money,
I want to go to many ski ground in Aomori prefecture.
For example, Owani, Moya, Ajara, Iwaki, Hyakuzawa, Ajigasawa...
And If I have a chance, I want to try snowboarding.
After skiing or snowboading,
it is nice to go to hot springs.
I will refresh very much!
Second, I want to study Engkish properly.
I want to take TOEIC next year.
I aim high score☆
And, I want to improve my oral skill in Engkish.
I need a friend who speaks in English.
Can I meet such foreigners in a church?
I have to listen to, write, read, English every day
in order to speak in English fluently when I see them.

I must enjoy playing with friends and studying English!^^

I have'nt written in this biog for a while.I'msory for my forgetting to write it.
Today,I will write about my plan what to do in my winter vacation.First,I will be very lazily at my house,and read a lot of books.Second,I will play with my friends to go to "Karaoke",to play video games,and to go to shopping.Finaly,I will study English and German.
I want to do alot of thing,so I must be going to spend meaningful time.

I can`t make out where the picture shows except that that`s a hot spring(＾-＾；).
Hot spring... makes us warm and relaxing,so it`s very good for this cold season.
Ｂｕｔ be careful not to fall asleep at bathtub and catch a cold !

Ｉ`m planning a trip to Sendai with friend during this winter vacation.
Shopping in the city is a good choice ,but I want to visit some sightseeing spots.
Although I have been Sendai several times,never been to such places.
But I don`t have much money,it is still "a plan"(-_-;).
I must make efforts by myself for the realization of my plan!!

I belong to student commitee of Hirosaki University cooperative society.We will hold sukiyaki party in student's cafeteria tomorrow evening.Cost of participation is 500 yen.I will preside on the party.Let's take part in the party♪

Snow!!

Today, we had a fine snow. And the ground are covered with snow now.
I can't believe it!('△';)
My friend said me that this snow will continue for five days.

This weekend, I went to see a movie.
I watched ７月２４日通りのクリスマス.
Do you know this movie?
It was so nice, peaceful and pleasant movie.

By the way, let me write about my plan for winter vacation.
My plans are still uncrean, but I want to go back my hometown!!
But the winter vacation of hirosaki university is a little bit short for me...
After I return, I'll pay a visit to a shrine on New Year's Day.
Oh, also I want to go shopping with my local friends!! :)

My Plan Of Wintter Vacation

It's december from tomorrow. And wintter vacation will come soon. I'm looking forward to it. But I have no plan yet. Maybe...I'll go back my grandparents home. However I will spend Christmas with my friend.
　　　If it is possible,I want to go Tokyo Disney resort!! I went to there in this summer. I really enjoyed it!! And in Christmas, there are very beautiful and special illumination for Christmas. So I want to go there. But I don't have enough money. Someday I want to go there again.

I'll returan my Hometown

I'm going to spend this Xmas with club members and friends. Then, I'll return my hometown,Kitami, and going to Onneyu to enjoy onsen too. So I'll welcome new year with my family,but I should come back Hirosaki soon! I feel unhappy that I cannot have much time with my loving family,but to meet university's frends is also my delight(^^
I'm looking forward to Xmas party!

Only I feeling bad, because of many reports and examinations(x_x;)!

***Movies for Christmas***

The suitable movies for Christmas are "Home Alone3" and "Mickey's Christmas Carol".


Home Alone3

A boy who were chicken pox and stayed home found a group of robbers. He decided to catch them to protect his town.
The boy is very smart and cute! And the movie is very funny.


Mickey's Christmas Carol

A very stingy old man, Scrooge, meets a ghost. The ghost reclaims him from his mind which is full of sarcasm, and Scrooge spend happy Christmas.


Both of two are very heart-warming story, so why don't you watch them with your friends or family?

***Amazing Grace***

Watching the documentary, I knew that how people have kept loving and singing this song. One womam said that both of her mother and father had been singing the song, so I understood that Amazing Grace has been popular among people.

It seems that Amazing Grace started being sang on original malody from 60s. I was impressed by people who were singing the song happily.

Assignment about English Site,Movie and winter Holiday

I want to introduce my favorite EnglishSite,EIGOJIN. This site inform us news of Hollywood Sters in English . So we can know informations and learn English. I wish everyone enjoyed it. Next,I have been touched by the Movie about Amazing Grace！The story of this movie teachs us how wonderful twonderful the Life we spend is. Winter vacation's plan...
In fact, Hirosaki University's winter vacation is shorter than my high school.
Therefore, I will only back to my parent's home, may be.
However, I will be able to eat a lot of delicious foods (christmas cake, rice cakes boiled with vegitables, etc...)(^^;
So I satisfy only this plan!

Prof's picture is... I don't know because I have not very knowledge about hot springs, but I look like that it is deep in the mountains there.

My plan

I'm a student. So I don't have enough time to visit anywhere until spring vacation. Winter vacation is too little and I have to stay my hometown. Please give us free time.

If I have time to visit somewhere, I'll go to Hokkaido. I went to Asahikawa but I didn't enjoy at all because of tournament of table tennis. I went only place for the meeting and hotel. I didn't eat Asahikawa noodle and go to Asahiyama zoo and buy anything. So the travel was too bored.

But I don't want to visit there during winter.I'm good at winter. I like summer. Winter in Hokkaido is very cold. So I don't want to visit; sorry to people who come from Hokkaido.

I want to travel but I can't do that now. Please give us free time.

Oh! I forget! I have a good plan.I'll goto department store to buy winter clothes with my friends in Aomori city, my hometown.

Good ideas for vacation?

It's less than a month now to vacation. What do you plan to do over the New Year's break? I'm going to visit my family in the US and go to a history conference, but sitting in an onsen, and visiting my Japanese in-laws, are other options that are nice for the winter vacation.

Amazing grace

I think Amazing Grace is a wonderful song.
The reason is it has been loved and inherited by many people until today.
But There was the part which I was not able to hear well in the video. So, I examined it later.
John Newton who wrote the words has done a slave trade. However, when he encountered a storm in the ship, he prayed to God desperately. And he was helped. He got reverted afterwards and became a clergyman. This music was born to convey an amazing change of his mind.
　Not only the melody is nice, but the words and background are great.

How amazing it is!

I knew this warm song is sang by many people, but didn't understand people likes Amazing Grace so much. They are singing it anywhere, any time, for everything...from young to old, from in church to in prison. It is wonderful to enjoy sing songs, and this song gives us special impressions. Besides singing Amazing Grace is easy, after practice some time, you'll sing it soon!
By the way, the way of singing I like most is, in house, while they are cooking. It was like a gospel music wasn't it? I was belong to chorus club in junior high school, so I like singing too(nou I'm enjoy playing jazz!). Music is necessary for us, I believe.

"AMAZING GRACE"...Everyone Loves the Song

I have heard "AMAZING GRACE" many times. But I don't know well about the words and the background. So watched the movie about "AMAZING GRACE", I could know about this song deeply for the first time.

The words of this song was written by John Newtonan. He was an English slaveship master and became an Anglican clergyman after his conversion to Christianity. During his navigation, he wrote the words of this song. He wanted to abolish slavery. Slave's past is sad and gross. And he hardly forgat about the lost life of slaves. So he wrote this for memorialize them.

Then this words were spread and came to be sung by many many people. Now, "AMAZING GRACE" is sung by most American. Prisoner also sing this song.

"AMAZING GRACE" is loved by everyone. And in America, children take over this song from their parents. Through this song people can connect with other people from the bottom of heart. Heard "AMAZING GRACE" , I 'm moved though I didn't know the meaning of the words.
It is maybe common feeling of all people. I want to know more about this song and share feelings with many people.

How sweet the sound

I like "Amazing Grace" very much. All the singer who songs this song has very beautiful and clear voice. When I hear this song, I feel myself relaxed. How sweet the sound!

I watch the documentary "Amazing Grace". I know this song is sung in various places. I find that the north place of America sing it but it is different from south place of America. I think this differnce stem from the number of black people. Black people sing it only their voice. On the other hand, white people sing it with musical instrument. I like the version without instrument.

According to the movie, the song was written by John Newton. But it isn't clear who made the music. He was a so-called black slave transport slaver trader. But When he experienced disaster, he got to believe God. So he decided to make songs for the atonement for sin.And he resigned a crew.

I think the song was made for not only himself but also every black people. John had some sort of regret. so this song is heard so sadly and holy.
