My hometown

My hometown is Miyoshi in Saitama. Miyoshi is a town of about 38,000 people in the south of Saitama. Though it is near Tokyo, there are a lot of fields there. We use the station in the next town because there is no station there.

The famous place in Miyoshi is "Santomeshinden". However, Maybe, almost everyone doesn't know it. The meaning is a generic term for three the name of a place and a newly developed field. It is a farming area across the Miyoshi and some city or towns. It was made in 1694. The area which is rectangle is equal in each farmer, where there are fields and copses. It seems not to have changed so much at that time. "Santomeshinden" is one of the cultural asset of Saitama.

Another famous place is a lot of zelkova trees standing in a row along the road near the "Santomeshinden". The number of it is about 250!! The road is beautiful and good place to take a walk.
