If you have viral meningitis, you will receive supportive care, such as intravenous fluids to prevent dehydration as well as painkillers. In most case, it resolves on its own with time. On the other hand, if you have bacteria meningitis, you will receive antibiotics intravenously. Finally, the most symptoms are common. For example, fever, headaches, stiff and painful neck, vomiting and seizures. In conclusion, bacterial meningitis makes patients dead without the appropriate treatment though viral meningitis is spontaneous recovery. So, doctor must understand the difference of them.
