I have a dream★

In the near future I'd like to speak English fluently and make many foreign friends. Also I want to go on a trip without any language problems. Until quite recently I was afraid of making mistakes in learning English, but Professor Phillip's words encouraged me that we must make mistakes if we want to be good at other languages. Now I'm enjoying this class very much. It's a dream of me to be a doctor in the States one day. So of course, I have to learn a lot of medical knowledge in English but also I think that I need a sense of humor. The sense of humor between Japanese and Americans differ so much that I'm worried whether I can fill the gap. Is there any advice?

next assignment

Hi, class, thanks for getting on the blog and writing for it. Now that We all know something about each other, I'd like everyone to tell us something about how we hope, and/or expect, to use English in the future. What kind of English do you want to learn and why?

Additionally, let's all add comments to other people's messages. You must have something to say about what others have been saying here, if not about their interest in English then about their self-introductions.

This is my second contribution for this blog. Last time I didn't introduce myself. So I'll tell about myself this time. My name is Kae Nushiro. I am a freshman in the school of medicine. As Aomori is famous for snow, I became the member of the ski club. I went skiing for the first time when I was six and after that experience skiing became my hobby. Also I'm wondering about joining the orchestra. Thanks to my parents, I can play the violin. When I was a little child I wanted to have piano lessons, but our family moved to a lot of places so I couldn't bring a big instrument. Well, it's time for me to sleep! Good night☆

What I want to do this summer

I'm planning to go to the US to volunteer at Give Kids The World in Florida. Three years ago I saw a TV program that featured about that organization. Their mission is to fulfill the wishes of all children who have life-threatening illness. There might be such a place like GKTW in Japan too, but actually I don't know. So I'll go to GKTW and join the movements. Also, I want to go to Singapore this summer because a friend lives there. There are a lot of foreign places where I want to visit, but I can't speak English well. So I'm going to progress my English skill in this ⅢB English class. Let's do it together everyone!!

Hi, everyone!

My name is Yuriko Sasahara. I came from Toride city, Ibaraki prefecture. Though, my high school is in Tokyo. When I say that I commuted from Ibaraki to Tokyo, some people say "Did you take a shinkansen?", but unfortunately, there's no station for shinkansen in Ibaraki. I took a train and it took about ninety minutes. Now, it takes only five minutes to cycle Hirodai. I'm really glad to sleep late in the morning.
As medicine is my major, I'll live in Hirosaki city in six years. Hirosaki will become my second home town.
I hope we enjoy learning English in this class.
Thanks!

Take a deep breath and Go for it!!!
