The Mighty Ducks

This time I'll tell you about my favorite movie "The Mighty Ducks".
This is a Disney film about ice hockey.It's a successful story of a weak hockey team.A new coach appears and the team changes.

Not just the story is good.The uniform of the main team is the real uniform of the NHL team Anahiem Mighty Ducks (now Anahiem Ducks).In addition,famous NHL players appear in this movie.Wayne Gretzky,Basil McRae,Paul Kariya and so on.And in the end,Queen's famous song"We Are The Champions" is used.

"The Mighty Ducks" is a series of three films. All of them are worth watching.

I'd like to tell you about a huge sculpture.Mount Rushmore,a mountain in the Black Hills of South Dakota.It's noted for its giant busts of four famous U.S. presidents carved.Those are George Washington,Thomas Jefferson,Theodore Roosevelt,and Abraham Lincoln.

This sculpture is carved Gutzon Borglum from 1927 to 1941.He's a great sculptor and made other beautiful works.If you get interesred in him please check him out.

My Future Plan

Someday, I'd like visit Dubai, the rich city in Arabia.In Dubai,you can enjoy the huge desert by a safari car.

A trip to the desert offers a real adventure into the magnificent landscape of the unique sands of Arabia. This safari tour takes you right into the heart of the desert where you experience the excitement of a roller-coaster tour down the astonishing high dunes. A stop for a breathtaking view of the endless desert gives an opportunity to watch the sun-set over this scenery.

Great thing about desert around Dubai is that the sand is orange with very thin layer of red sand on the top which adds additional richness to the overall color. Desert safari in Dubai is very touristic thing to do, but it is big fun too. They generally stop at some lovely place just before sunset and give you a chance to take some photos with a wonderful light too.

But she was looked having other reason...

We can see warmth of family.
The content of film are different from that of the original story.

Washington,D.C

Washington,D.C is the capital of the United States and has the mainstay of the government. For example the White House and the United States Capitol are located in Washington,D.C.

Ten years ago I went to Washington,D.C and saw the sights of the city. I visited not only these political place but also historic sites and museums. I visited the Smithsonian museums. There were so many museums in the Smithsonian museums that I could not see several days. I thought the National Museum of Natural History was the most interesting. There were many dinosaur skeletons and mammals specimens. These were powerful and exiting for me.

I'm interested in science, history and medicine etc, so I want to go there many times. The Smithsonian must gratify our desire to learn.

Paris

When I was a junior high school student, I wanted to be a pianist. My teacher studied classical music at Paris, so I wanted to study it at Paris too. Since then, I am interested in France, especially Paris.

I will take a trip to Paris by my graduating from the university. I want to go to the Arch of Triumph, watch paintings in the Louvre, enjoy an opera, and so on.At Paris, I want to speak French. So now I study French harder than any other subject in the university. I think it is difficult to pronounce good French and there are many differences between English and French.

Gossip Girl

Hi everyone!! I'm Hiroko. How's it going?? I'm really fine bacause I'm going back to my hometown during this weekend and I am gonnna meet many friends there!! I'm too excited and I can't wait! :)

Today, I want to talk about "Gossip Girl". Have you ever watched or heard of that? It's really popular amoung teen in the US and famous as one of the interesting television programs in the US. Actually I'm into it so much, too. I already finished to watch season1 but season2 isn't available in Japan so that I can't watch the folllowing season for a while.

This story is about relationship and friendship of high school students. They are not just simple high school students but rich and smart boys and girls. We can enjoy richful life through this TV program. :) Besids that, the actors and the actresses of this program are very very hot and sweet!! I became a big fan of the leading actress Blake Libry.

I'm sure that this TV program is really worth to watch! This DVD is available at TSUTAYA so that if you have leisure time, you can defenitely enjoy it!!

Do you know this masterpiece? I hope someone know and like it.
This work named The Kiss was drawn by Klimt Gastav, an Austrian artist.
I love it!!
The man in this picture is Klimt himself and the woman is his sweetheart.
He drew frank pictures which themes are sensual pleasure.
From his works, you would feel sweet and fascinating eroticism.
But at the same time, the smell of death pervades.
I don't know the reason is this, however, I never see it without being impressed.
I want to see many pieces of pictures around the world and enrich my education.

I'm major in medicine, but to tell the truth, I'm interested in architecture too.

There are many pieces of architecture all over the world and all of them have original structure or attraction.

Specially, I like Templo de la Sagrada Familia.

It was planned by Antonio Gaudi in the end-nineteenth century.

It have been building for more than 100 years, but it is said that it takes another 100 years at least to complete the temple!!

Antonio Gaudi didn't use calculation to lay out.

Instead of it, he made a upsode-down model with chain.

Buildings have to steady structurally. And people have to learn the stability from NATURE.

It's one of his wise sayings.

Unfortunately, I never can see the finished product of Templo de la Sagrada Familia.

But I want to visit Barcelona and see it someday.

Peach cake♪♪

Good evening everyone.It is a hod day.What a hot night!

We must write about free topic on this blog by friday and so I'm going to write about a peach cake.I've just made it♪You want to eat a piece of it,don't you??
Joking aside,my relatives gave me a canned peach the other day,and I wanted to make something by using it.I finally decided to make a peach cake flavored with apple tea.Apart from the question of its taste,the smell is so good!!The taste is good,too...I think.I'll go to visit my relatives to give two pieces of it tommorow.I wonder if they are glad to be given it.I have little butterflies in my stomach.

My favorite place

My favorite place is my hometown. So let me introduce the special place in my hometown, Kamegaoka Iseki. It is the remains of close of Jomon era.Because the remains of close of Jomon are a few, it is not less precious than Sannai Maruyama Iseki though it's much smaller than Sannai Maruyama. You can often see the Shakouki Dogu in your history textbooks. It was unerthed there. My hometown has historical value.

Hi! I'm Mamoru. I'm going to introduce TAIPEI101. This is one of the tallest building in the world. Maybe some of us don't know that the building is condensed Japanese technology.

The building is constructed by the Kumagai Construction Company.And the elevater which is in the building is formed by TOSHIBA. I am glad that Japanese companies make a contribution to a foreign country.

This is one of the most popular picture painted by Gaugin , "Where Do We Come From? What Are We? Where Are We Going?". I first saw the painting in a ethical textbook and it impressed me very much. I came to want to know about it. So , I resarched it .

It was painted from 1897 to 1898. Gaugin gave many meanings to this picture. This painting means Human Life, the right side is the birth , the center is the growth ,the left side is death.

"This picture might not exceed my paintings I have ever painted, but I can not make picture that is greater than it . And,I like this picture."Gaugin says about it.

I think this is one of the most impressing picture I have ever seen.

Yamadera

　Yamagata has several attractive point. Fruit, hot springs, and food. However, people assume there is nothing to see. But I think you should visit Yamadera.
　Yamadera is officially called as Risshakuji. It is famous for two things. The great poemer Basho Mathuo created his very famous haiku "Lonely silence, a single cicada's cry sinking into stone." in Yamadera. Second, when Hieizan, a famous temple was burned off by Nobunaga Oda, its religously important fire was lost. Then fire in Yamadera was sended to Hieizan. Stairs over eight handreds steps are also famous.
　Yamadera may be not attractive for some people, but people in Yamagata is kind of proud of Yamadera.

Saman's tree

Actually, I saw this tree when I traveled to Hawaii as my junior high school's trip. I remebered being impressed by this tree because it was really beautiful and kind of art. The name of this tree is monkey pod and the scientific name is samanea saman. This HITACHI's tree is seen in Moanalua garden park Oafu island Hawaii. Moanalua garden park was originally Kamehameha royal family's land and has the building of Kamehameha V which was bulit in the eighteen fifties.

I like kimono (Japanese traditional clothing) very much. My grand mother often wear it. Whenever I see her, I want to wear it like her. Most Japanese wear it only when they hold a coming-of-age celebration, a graduation ceremony. But I always think that there are many kind of kimono, so it is important for us to know its rules. For example, when you visit your superior, you should wear a semi-ceremonial kimono (houmonngi). When you are invited to somebody's wedding ceremony and you are a single, you wear a long-sleeved kimono (furisode).

We have such a beautiful and proudly clothing, so I wear it as many times as possible.

My favorite place

This is a picture of the botanical garden of Tohoku University.
I belonged to Tohoku University before I entered Hirosaki University, and I studied biology there. I often went to the botanical garden, and I really enjoyed the natural environment.


The botanical garden is in the university and near the urban streets of Sendai city. Howerver, there are a lot of flowers and trees, and various kinds of animals such as deers, foxes, squirrels, bears, and many kinds of birds live there. One whole mountain forms the botanical garden! The scenery is very beautiful, and I feel quite comfortable when I see it.


I'm looking forward to visit the botanical garden again when I go back to Sendai.

My favorite place

Today, I want to introduce my favorite place. The place I love is Hokkaido. I have been there three times. I went to Sapporo when I was ten. I went to Kushiro when I was thirteen. I went to Hokkaido with my family.

The most favorite place in Hokkaido is Hakodate mountain. A night view from the mountain is wonderful!! The Hakodate mountain is 333 meters above the sea. This night view is one of the three most wonderful night view in the world.

My favorite time of day

My favorite time of day is between half past four and half past five in the evening.This is a time slot after some classes and before going to play table tennis as a club activities.During that time,I can do anything which I want to do.For example,sleeping properly,studying something,reading books or making cookies and so on.Furthermore,I can finish such an assignment which I suppose to present soon.After I finish them,I'll enjoy playing table tennis as hard as I can.Nothing will be on my mind except playing it.Of course,I like the time when I talk with my friends,but I like the time when I am alone.To think daily happenings or an unforeseen occurrence for myself is very important,I think.
　Now I'm a freshman in university,and I have much more free time than an upperclassman.Before I get busy,I'll make good use of that time in doing various things.I want to make some lucky charms for victories of table tennis matches to present to the members of the club above all!!

Salar de Uyuni

Hello, I'm Karakawa. Today I wanna tell you the place of my dreams, Salar de Uyuni.
"Salar de Uyuni" is Spanish. In English, Salt lake of Uyuni. Do you know it? It is located in the west of Bolivia, one of the country of South America. It is the biggest salt lake in the world. At Salt lake of Uyuni, white salt color streaches as far as the eye can see. Also its surface reflects the blue sky and the white cloud as if it were a mirror.
I knew it on TV when I was a little girl.Since then, I have longed to go there.I've never been there, but I'm eager to go there in my life. Or I wanna go to the beautiful and fantastic place like Salt lake of Uyuni if I were dead.

A work of art

Today, I want to introduce my favorite work of art. This picture is "Het meisje met de parel" painted by Johannes Vermeer. I like this picture very much.

This picture was painted in 1665. We don't know who this girl is, but she is usually thought of as Maria whose father is Vermeer. Her face seems very mysterious. So, this picture is called " The northern Mona Lisa". I like his brushwork very much. His pictures is like a photograph. They are enchantingly beautiful and wonderful.

The Glaciers in Swirzerland

Hello, everyone! I'm Kiho. Today I'm going to write about the glacier in Switzerland.

The name of the mountain in this picture is Matterhorn. It is striking with its sharp top among other mountains. There are a lot of beautiful glaciers in Switzerland, so I went to see them with my family twice before.

The glaciers scarcely melt even in summer. Seeing the wonderful view, we can enjoy skiing and trekking. But these years, the glaciers have melted remarkably because of the global warming. They are retreating about 20 kilometer every year.

If we pass over this problem, the glaciers will be disappeared. We should think about it more seriously to protect them.

Atomic Bomb Dome

Today I wanna write about the atomic bomb dome. Most of all may know this disastrous architecture.
As you know, in 1945 the U.S. army thrown an atomic bomb down in Hiroshima for the first time in human history. The result of it was very tragical... We, human, must never forget the tragedy.
The atomic bomb dome is located in Hiroshima, and it remains the appearance as if it just has been bombed by the fat man. The architecture appeals to us the ravages of war and the catastrophe by atomic bomb, and it also tells us the importance of peace.

Patagonia

Today I want to introduce my favorite place. The place I love is Patagonia.But unfortunately , I have never been there. When I was a high school student, I came across an article about Patagonia.I was very impressed by the pictures of the nature there.So I became interested in this place.

Patagonia is an area located between Chile and Argentina.We can enjoy amazing nature there. Especially ,glaciers are so spectacular.I heard that people visiting there will be impressed by their beauty and scales for sure. The glaciers are as tall as 50~100m high buildings. Sometimes we can hear the big sound like thunder when huge glaciers collapse.The view of the nature here must be overwhelming.

I understand that it takes about 2days from Japan to Patagonia. It's pretty far away from Japan isn't it? So when I get enough time and money,I'd like to visit there and enjoy its beautiful nature.

Tower of the sun!

I guess that you know this architecture.

That's because this was exhibited in Osaka World Exposition in 1970.

I think that this architecture,especially this face,has a peculiar manner.How about you?

This is "Taiyou no tou",made by Tarou Okamoto.

It has three faces located in the front,the back and the top.

Each of them has meaning;white face in the front means the present,black face in the back means the past,gold face in the top means the future.

It is still famous.

Recently, eyes of the tower was turned on a light in March 27th.

I expect that this will be handed down all the time.

So when you have child or grandchild,you should tell them meanings of three faces.

Honmonji Temple

When I lived in Tokyo, I sometimes went to Honmonji Temple in Ikegami. Tokyo is one of the busiest cities in the world. Honmonji Temple was inside Tokyo but is quiet and calm place.

Honmonji Temple was founded by Nichiren Shonin about 700 years ago. Honmonji Temple ranked as one of the major centers among the order's 5000 temples. There were the five-story pagoda, red pagoda, stupa and main hall on the premises. They are very beautiful and solemn. I felt as if I had been in ancient era.

If I go to Tokyo, I want to go there again and heal myself.

Today,　I want to write an essay based upon my research about a work of art I like. The work is "Pumpkin". It is one of the works of very famous artist, Yayoi Kusama. She is a japanese woman from Nagano prefecture and she is a sculptor, a painter, and a novelist. Her works are highly regarded around the world. She is 81 years old. (http://www.yayoi-kusama.jp/)

She often incorporates polka dots into her works of sculptures and paintings. "Pumpkin" is the object of big yellow polka-dot pumpkin. She constructed it on the shore of Naoshima in Kagawa prefecture in 1994. Naoshima is known as a town of modern art. (http://kagawa.weblike.jp/index.html)

I saw "Pumpkin" three years ago for the first time. At first, I thought it was an oddly colored sculpture, but currently I regard it as a symbol of Naoshima. Have you ever been to Naoshima? If not, go there and see "Pumpkin", thinking philosophically with your friends. I want to do that again!

My summer plan

Good morning , everyone. I'm goning to visit Tokyo in this summer. In the trip , I'll meet my friends who studies in Tokyo. I'm looking forward to it. I haven't see them for five months. And I'll see the sights of Tokyo with them. For example , I have visited Tokyo three times , but I didn't go Tokyo tower. I want to see it. Moreover , I have a lot of places where I want to go.

Hello. I already wrote a plan in summer vacation (going to Hakodate), so I write about a plan in spring. First, I'm going to stay in Tokyo for around a week alone. I want to experience the life in a big city and its suburbs. Yamagata, which I came from, and Aomori are both a country. I feel I need to know about a big city. Second, perhaps I go abroad to study in next spring or next whole year. It is because experiences in other country change me and English skill enhanced in other country is useful in the future. My parents allow it even if I will be 14th grade two times.

My plan for next year

Hi! This is Yasu.

A tournament called "Hokuitai" is held every year in May. There is new face round in Hokuitai, so fresh man can play an active part. But this year, I injured an arm and did not have plays just as wanted.
Fortunately, because the sophomore can participate in the new face round.So, I'll do physical training for the next year. To be concrete, I'll do 150 times of push-ups, 300 times of squats, 500 times of double hops, and so on every other day.　I intend to increase these from now on. I want to win the championship of the round!

My future plan

I will get a driver's license this year. I have only a license of a motorized two-wheeled vehicle, so I want to drive a car.

The problem is when I get it. Because classes will become busy and hard next year, I think this year is best. I first planed to get it in the summer vacation. However, if I go to a driving school in the summer vacation, there will be little time to spend with my family and friends.

Now I think it may be good to go to a driving school with attending college's classes since this autumn. However, it also seem to be better to go there in the summer vacation. I can't decide when I get a driver's license yet!

my summer plan

During this summer, I am planning to visit Yakushima in Kagoshima prefecture with my family.
I heard that Yakushima has rich nature, it is covered with dense forest and there are also beautiful rivers. So it was registered as the World Heritage in 1993.Especially,Yakushima is very famous for its "Jomon"ceder,which is a huge and old tree, about 3o meters tall,16meters around and over 3000 years old.It is very interesting that those who visited Yakushima often say that if you go there , your view of life will change in a good way.
I and my family are looking forward to visiting Yakushima.

Summer vacation

Today I want to tell you about my summer vacation's plan!

This summer vacation, I'm going to go to perth Australia.
I've never been there before and besides this is the third time to go abroad!
That's why I'm too excited!!
As soon as summer vacation begins, I have to renew my passport.

The reason I'm going to perth is to meet one of my friends Ayana.
We have been friends each other for several years.
She is going there in order to learn on pharmacy and study English.
We haven't seen for more than a year so that I'm really happy to not only go there but also see her!!
After I come back to Japan, I promise I'll tell you about perth on this blog! :)

I'll　introduce to you my future plan.In the first place,I want to be a doctor who has a tender heart.Doctors are persons in a high position,and some doctors talk big or look important.This will make patients become less energetic.But this is the way of the world.So,I want to be a kind person to patients and see their sorrow or pain.

Second,I'd like to go to a park with my son or daughter as many times as I can after I have children.When I was a child,my father often took me and my sister to some parks.He played in a sabdbox all the time with me until I got tired.Moreover,he taught me to skip rope,ride a bicycle,sit in a swing and so on.I clearly remember that time.I think I spent very nice and wonderful time,and I want my kids to spend such a time,too.Oh,I miss him!

My target during summer vacation is "Get up early" though it is childish.
I sleep until the afternoon when holiday recently.
I get depressed on such a day.

I go a driving school almost everyday. The other day, I got a temporary license. So I practice driving on the street. I'm going to take a licensing examination in Sendai on summer vacation. In order to pass the exam, I study academic subject,and practice driving.

In the future, I want to drive by a Jaguar!! So I practice driving more, and I should save a lot of money...

Hello, I'm Kazuki Sato. How are you? Today, I'm going to talk about my summer plans.

First, I will go to Nagano prefecture with teammate to participate in "Toitai". I practice tennis hard so that I'll do my best in assembly.

Second, I will go to Hirosaki to get a driver's license. Now, I'm trying to get a temporary license. Studying for it is hard for me(T-T).

Third, I will go back to Saitama to meet some friends. They are local friends and friends in high school and friend in a cramming school.

I have many plans in summer. So I am worrying about carrying out all of them. However, I will enjoy summer!!

Hello,let me tell you about my summer plans. In my summer vacation, I'll go back to my hometown,Kizukuri. I'm looking forward to spending time in my hometown.I want to eat watermelons and melons(In fact, when I was in Kukuri,I don't like them so much.But now I desire to eat them.). I also want to turn up at Karate team of my high school.I haven't play Karate for long time, so I want to kick very much! In order to enjoy my summer vacation, I have to study hard in July.

In this summer, I'm going to Saitama because of the volleyball competition. I won't attend it as a player, but I'll support the players as hard as possible! Also, I will go to Tokyo Disney Land with my team mates. I'm looking forward to it very much!! I'll enjoy TDL, yaaaa!!!
Perhaps,I will go to summer festival, ROCK IN JAPAN or RISING SUN. I really want to go, but I don't have much money and time...but I want to go.....I deliberate whether or not.

My Summer Vacation Plan

Hello everyone! Today I wanna tell you about my plan of this summer vacation.

In the summer vacation, I'm gonna go back to my hometown.In my hometown, I'll play with my local friends, I'll get a driver's license, and perhaps I'll trip to somewhere with my family.
However, what I'm really looking forward to is nebuta festival and neputa festival. As a matter of fact, I'd never been Touhoku region before I entered this university. So I've not enjoyed nebuta festival, though I have been interested in it. In Hirosaki, neputa festival is held, and, to be honest, I've taken it for the parody festival of nebuta festival!
But I learned that neputa festival has a history as much as nebuta festival. So I wanna enjoy both festival in the summer vacation!

MY PLAN OF NEAR FUTURE

Today, I tell you about my dream of near future.

My dream or plan is going abroad, new world to see things as they are with my own eyes and to meet various people and to broaden my outlook!!!!!!

This is the age of the computer and we live in the borderless society. So we can catch the information about all over the world immediately. But I think that there are many things which we can never know as long as we are not on site.



I am going to work part-time job at least in August.
And I will save money as much as I can. Then, I will go India in the next spring vacation.(^^)v

In this summer, I'm going to return home from Hirosaki to Aomori. In my hometown, I am going to see "NEBUTA" with my old friends. I'm looking forward to meeting them. They are very familiar with me. I want to see them immediately. Also, I am planning to go to Europe with my friends. I have never traveled abroad. So, I'm looking forward to seeing foreign countries. Now we are planning to go to France. Therefore, we must study French hard. I think France is a beautiful country. I want to see the streets of France. I want to enjoy this summer.

Summer plans

In August, I'm going to return to my home. I will see friends of long standing and we will enjoy drinking all through the night. My family members love tennis, so I will play tennis with my family. After playing tennis, we will enjoy drinking beer and cooking over a barbecue in our yard. If it will be too hot, I will go swimming in the sea and I will enjoy drinking beer. I always want to enjoy drinking beer in summer vacation.

Today,I'll talk about my future plan.Ofcourse,I want to be a doctor.I'm interested in the ophthalmology,the dermatology,and the otolaryngology.Although I haven't decided what department I will go yet,I'll study hard to be a good doctor.

After I retire my career,I want to open a bakery with my family.Maybe you say "Why?"When I was a high school student,I often went to a small bakery near my school.The shop was run by an elderly couple.They were very kind,always smile,and look very happy.Seeing their smile,I think "I want to open a bakery after my retirement."

In July,I'll play with my friend.She is Chinese and high school student in America.She is going to come back on June 30th,so I promised with her to go shopping!I'm looking forward to going shopping with her♪It is because she is fashionable.

In August,I'm going to go to the China with my mother.We may leave on August 2 or 5th and stay for 3weeks.We are going to grandparents home.I want to meet my cousins soon!Our plans in China is that we go to ,Changchun,my mother's hometown,Beijing and Shanghai.

Today, I want to write about my plans of this summer vacation.

First, (I wrote about this last blog) I'm going to participate in 'Toitai' . So, I have to practice and practice golf. I want to improve my swing and hit a stronger ball.

Second, I'm going to return to my family home. I will stay at my home for 2 weeks. I want to see my family and my old friends and talk about my college life. I also want to play my grand piano.

Third, I'm going to get a driver's license. I'm afraid of driving a car now, but I want to be a good driver in the near future.

My Plan of Summer Vacation

Hello, everyone! I'm Kiho. Today I'm going to write about my plan of summer vacation.

In the first week in August, our medical badminton club has a big tournament, to-i-tai. It'll be hold at Tiba and all medical badminton club members in the East Japan will participate. I want to make gradual progress on the badminton by the time, so I'll try to practice more hard!

After the tournament, the club activity will break up. Then I'll going to go to the driving school in my hometown. I intend to get a driver's license during the vacation.

In September, we'll have a medical practice, early exposure. I may have to study hard, but I'm looking forward it now.

These are my plan of summer vacation. I want to enjoy all of them!

Summer!

When I think about summer, two things come into my mind.
The first one is Kakigoori. Kakigoori is a Japanese dessert made from shaved ice flavored with syrup.There are many types of syrup such as strawberry,cherry,lemon,green tea ,grape,melon and so on. So it looks colorful and beautiful. Kakigoori can be much more delicious when we eat it on a hot summer day.
The second one is cicadas.The chirping of cicadas is so noisy that we can hear it even in the house.When I hear it, it sometimes makes me feel hotter than usual.But they bring us the real feeling of summer.
When I eat Kakigoori hearing the Chirping of cicadas,I can say this is the summer.
