O Brother

Hello, I'm Yuta Oba.
I really enjoyed this movie though there were some words which I did't know and scenes I couldn't understand.

I like the conversations among the three men in particular. It's so funny! I think they are very good actors. I couldn't understand some their conversations because it was so fast that I couldn't catch their words. However, their expressions showed the characters' feelings very well, so I could guessed the story.

I also like the music. The good music creates pleasant atomospheres in this movie. I'd like to buy the sound track of O Brother.

I have a question about O Brother. I found two people in this movie who couldn't see anything. What did these blind people imply? I think there may be some implications, but I don't have any ideas about it.

I watched ''O brother'' last Friday. It was a very cheerful and funny movie. In this movie, three men break out of prison. Their purpose is to get the treasure. For me, It was very interesting that characters were very funny and fool. For example, a bank robber that hold a machine gun and a large sum of money and a sellman that is very fat and violent are very comical.

I thought that music in this movie is very good. The music blends with this movie and attracts me. For example, I like the song that women in white robes sang.

My question is who people in white robes are and the conclusion.

I enjoyed this movie very much!! I intend to watch it again sometime in the near future.

Golden Week

I'm Yuta Oba.

Before Golden Week, I had many plans for Golden Week. I wanted to do things which I can't do on every day life. I would travel in Aomori, go back to my hometown, go shopping, clean my room and, of course, study hard.

However, I couldn't do most of the things which I would do during Golden Week. I got up late and didn't feel to go out, so I stayed home all day long and wasted most of the precious holidays.

I never thought I spent my Golden Week in that way! I wish I had another Golden Week.
I hope I will make good use of the next vacation and do a lot of useful things.

My impression about "O Brother"

We saw "O Brother" last week.
I can't the movie very much,but I looked over about
"O Brother" on the Internet after seeing the movie.
Then I came to undersatnd it.

There were many people singing a song in white robe,
and they were going to river.At first I thought it mysterious,
and I can't understand their behabior.Later, I hit on an idea
that it was baptism.

My favorite scene is the scene that Pete cahnged a frog.
Then, Deimar was worried about him and carried the frog
always with him. And the frog was killed by a man.
But! Pete was alive! Actually Pete didn't change a frog.
And he was alive.

I want to see it again.

We watched a movie, "O brother" last Friday. It was funny and interesting.
Three prison breakers have own personality. What especially impressed me was George Clooney always mind his hairstyle, and apply pomade. The handsome man is so nervous!
The supporting actor was interesting, too. I laughed at the scene, a car they hitchhiked was a bank robbery's!
My question is why one of them changed into a "frog". What a frog meant? Will the reason be merely because there was a river there? umm...

Hi,I'm Hemian Zhang.Now,I'm going to tell you what I feel when I saw a movie "O Brother!".

The movie was very interesting.I like that three men.Men and women in the movie was so fun and a lot of music was so beautiful that I wasn't bored while it was showing!

My favorite character is Peat.He believed that the flog was Delmar!How fun he is!I could not help laughing at all his actions!I don't like Everett's wife (Penny?) very much,because she was egoistic woman.I think Everett must get a divorce.

I want to know what Peat and Delmar is doing after the movie!

Last Friday, I watched "O Brother". I hadn't watched it, so I was looking forward to watching it.
In this movie, 3men escaped from prison and met many people. Thier conversation or behavior was so fun. I chuckled many times.
However, there were cruel scene, too. For example, a man(he is a robber?) shot a herd of cattle, or another man crushed a frog in his hand. I know it is made-up story and a joke, I felt poor.
The characters sang a lot of songs. They were all beautiful and fun, I also became happy.There wewre some scenes I coudn't understand, but as a whole I felt the movie was very interesting.

I saw `O BROTHER' for the first time. It was a story of 3 men who escaped from prison. I was excited because many scenes were very powerful and interesting.
It was the most interesting scene that one of the 3 men was transformed into a toad. I was very surprised to see it, but actually it was a joke.
I thought this movie was like a musical. I took to the songs in this movie, especially the song sung by the 3 men. It was really good.
I have two questions about this movie. First, there were some religious ceremonies, but what kind of religion? I thought one of them was like Christianity. Second, where did George Nelson go after he gave money to the 3 men?

It was interesting to see a movie in English. I would like to see another one in English.

''O BROTHER!'' was so fun,because the conversation between EVERETT , PETE and DELMAR was amusing.What was particularly amusing was DELMAR.He was gentle and obedient by nature.He thought that PETE became a frog,so he took care of it.He was only daptized,and what was more,he break into the line!, he thought he was acquitted of the charge.He was simple-minded.Ha-ha-ha!

EVERETT's six darling daughters had a lovely face,but their talk with his real father was frank!I was sure that EVERETT was too sad.In addition,his wife was egotistical.She found EVERETT was a member of the popular group whose members sing an old hit song just as she decided to get married to him again!!!!!!!Ooh~.I didn't care what a ring was,but she very very fussed with it.I don't to be like her!

I have no question,but it was so dificult to hear and understand English.

Golden Week

Hi! I'm Satoko.
During golden week, I stayed my house at Hirosaki. I didn't go back Sendai. I cooked and clean up my room because I couldn't do it on ordinary days.
I went to see cherry blossoms in Hirosaki park with my classmate of high school. We haven't met since we graduated from high school. We talked about ourselves and old times.

During golden week, I went to Hakodate with my mother and sister. It was very wonderful. When we got into the train, no seat was vacant. However, one English man sat alone in the seat. We asked him to sit with him. Then, we made friends with him. His name is Edward Knight. He was gentle and handsome man. He was twenty-five years old. He came from London and graduated from Oxford. Now, he lives in Hirosaki. In the train, we talked about various things. I enjoyed it very much!! Then, we promised him that we would meet him again in Hirosaki.
I'm looking forward to seeing him.

Last Friday,we saw a movie,"O Brother."It was a really interesting movie.I couldn't understand the whole content of the movie,but I could enjoy it very much because the story was not too difficult and songs used in it was very beautiful.

In the movie,there was a scene which I couldn't understand.Many people with a white robe went into river one after another.What did they do?I could't understand the meaning of their behavior.I think it may be religious one,but I can't be sure.

Last Friday,I watched 『O Brother』 featuring George Cruney.
To my regret,I couldn't understand whole story perfectly because that was shown in English without Japanese subtitles.But actors' expression were very funny and all music which was used in the movie was great!! So I enjoyed it and got to want to watch more American movie.

I love English and had been convinced that I was good at English including listening and speaking until enter the university. Yet, I realized that my English ability was very very poor and lack experience. (Oh no~~!!!) Therefore I study steadily,want to understand foreign movies without subtitles. Last week,I saw a movie named a"O Brother".
This describes about three prison breakers.
Whating this movie,I think that music used in tehe movie makes contents look more splendid.
There are a lot of scenes to sing a song in the movie.
All singing voices were beautiful...
The songs made me be absorbed in the movie.
The contents were also interesting!
All people whom protagomists met were so unique!^^*
There were thrilling sneces,but I was a happy feeling after watching the film.

Last Friday, we saw O Brother. To tell the truth, I had not known the story and the actors at all. Moreover, my listening skills are not so good, so I couldn't understand the film perfectly. But I think I did my best. Now I'll write what impressed me.

Well... the surprising scene for me was the part that one of the men disappears and a frog come out! When the frog was killed, the other man looked really sad. What did the man who disappeared do without his clothes from the occasion to when he appeared again?

They sing some songs in the story. I knew one of them and could enjoy it. They sings really well!

I want to see the film in English again and understand all the story.

I had heard that "O Brother" was a comedy movie,until I watched the film.
After I watched the film, Ithought it was a musical movie.
So, the film didn't make me feel like laughing but I enjoyed many country musics in the film.

I have never read Odysseia yet.
So I don't know the difference between the story in the film and Odysseia.
If I read Odysseia, I would understand and enjoy this film.

Hi,everyone. I'm kenjiro.
In GW my family came to see me and we went sightseeing around Hirosaki city.
We went to see cherry blossoms in Hirosaki park and enjoyed drinking Japanese sake under the cherry blossoms on May 3rd.
Next day we took a hotspring at "Dake onsen" and ate Matagi cuisine there. After that we went to Ajigasawa town and ate squids at ashop on the seafront.
we have our fill around Hirosaki.

In the last English class,we watched the movie "O Brother"in English with no subtitles.

In the movie,the starring actor George Clooney sang very nice songs.I was surprised that he was a nice singer.I want to hear the song again.The other two guys were good too.

I think I understood the story,but there were some scenes I didn't.
There was a scene that many people in white gathered and did something weird.I remember that they had fire,shouting somehow and trying to kill a person.What was that?Kind of a ceremony?If you know about that please tell me.

Golden Week

Hi,I'm Tetsushi Oyama.This time,I'd like to tell you about my holidays.I had a lot of things,so I'll tell you the most impressive one.

In my soccer club,we had some games in Akita.It took about 3hours to drive to Akita.I got tired before the games.But the soccer court was grass.That really cheered me up.In our soccer club,we usually use clay courts.As a goal keeper,playing on the ground really hurts.It was fun doing at a nice place.

Of course,we also defeated the opponent and won the games.I really enjoyed playing soccer.

I enjoyed GW very much.I went to the Hirosaki Park and see cherry blossom three times! First I went there with my friend at night, second with my family at night, third with medical students all day! I have never seen cherry blossom like this time,so I'm very happy♪

Also, I practiced tennis! I'm to be in tennis club you know, some students who are older than I saied " Let's practice tennis with us!", so I joined them. We practice from 9:30 to 11:30 for 2 days. I think I can play tennis better!

O Brother

Hi, everyone!
The other day, I watched the film "O Brother" in class and watched it all in English even though my abily to listening to English is not perfect actually. However I listend very carefully in order to understand them and did my best, I think.

First of all, I have never seen such a funny and cute George Cruney.
He almost plays very handsome or cool guy, right?
Besides I didn't know that he sings really good!! I love the song which is sung by him and his two friends in the film. :)

Second, songs in the film were really wonderful! I already know that soundtruck got a prize at the year. When I did listen to them, I realized how cool they are and they are quite fit to the scene respectively.

Last, I was able to understand there were a variety of social themes such as racial discrimination, religions, and belief. I probably understood them superficially, though.

As you can see, I felt as if I had traveled to the South though this film.
Though I didn't understand what they said and the details in this film very much, I enjoyed the songs and funny people.

Golden Week

In this Golden Week, I had many events.

The beginning was blossom viewing of medical badminton club. It was... how should I say? All I felt was that university students were very,very powerful!

At May 2, my dear friend who lives in my hometown came to Hirosaki. We went to Hirosaki Park to see cherry blossoms. It was second time for me, but I couldn't have afforded to enjoy them the previous day. We had very good time with the sight of cherry blossoms and the castle by night. We went back to our hometown together.

The next day I went out with my family, and I spent what remained of my vacation going to the driving school.

I have a sence of fulfillment in this GW. I enjoyed this vacation very much, so I'll study harder from now!

Hello everyone!
I went to see cherry blossoms three times.
I had not seen cherry blossoms in Hisrosaki.
I was touched by the view...
There were innumerable cherry tree!
I can say only"How beautiful ther are!".
I wanna show my friends the scenery.

It was a river that I thinked that it was the most beautiful.
Many petals covered over the river.
The water of river looled like pink.
I will not surely forget that scenery.(*^^*)

Hello,everyone! It's Fumiko . I went back to my parents' home on the Golden Week and met my family and friends. My mother's home cooking was very delicious (>Ｕ<) and I spent a pleasant holiday chatting with my loving dad,mom and grandmother.
I took lunch with one of my friend on 5th. We ate tom yam kung . That day was very hot and tom yam kung was very spicy so we were all sweaty!!
After came back to Hirosaki,I went to Hirosaki park to see cherry blossoms with my classmates.
I have seen cherry blossoms in Hirosaki park many times, but I never look them without overwhelming their beauty. I want to see them again next year.
Next time, I 'm going to write about a movie.Don't miss my next statement.

Hello, everyone! How are you?
How was your Golden Week?

My Golden Week was really good and busy.
I returned to my family home in Kazo city in Saitama prefecture by the Sinkansen.
At first, my target was to finish 3 papers, which I'm going to hand in next week.
BUT...
I went shopping with my mother. I bought golf goods (gloves, hat, shoe case, ball case, and score counter) , and in the evening, I went to a driving range to practice golf with my family. My father and my younger brother (he is beginner) were very good at golf. Someday I want to play golf in a golf course with my family.
I also went shopping and had dinner with my old friend. We had a very happy time.
And I visited my relatives. We enjoyed a barbecue in the yard. That was really tasty.
I played the piano in my house. It is a grand piano, which my grandfather bought me when I was 7 years old. It is my treasure. I was pretty happy to play my piano. I practiced Mozart and Chopin.
...my plan to finish 3 papers did not work out. After all, 2 papers were completed, but 1 paper wasn't finished. However, I had a wonderful time with my family, friend, and relatives in my home town. I really enjoyed Golden Week:) Mizuki Yano

Hello! Did you have nice golden week?
On May third, I went to the Hirosaki park to see cherry blossoms with two friends of mine.The cherry trees were in full bloom then , so they were so beautiful.
Also my family(my father,my mother and I) went to Mutu-City(previous Wakinosawa nura) on May 4th, because my mother is from Wakinosawa. We visited Osore-zan, which is famous for Itako. People say there are ghosts in Osore-zan, but I coudn't see them. Acutually, I felt eerie there.

Golden Week

Hello,everyone. How are you? My Golden Week was good!

I took a trip with my family( father, mother,brother,grandfather,uncle and aunt). We visited Ogose in Saitama and saw waterfall "Kuroyama sanntaki". This waterfall is famous in Saitama. We didn't visit many place because I wasn't able to walk without crutch. However, I was happy because we hadn't met for some time.


I also met friends in my hometown. We had a party at my house. We talked about many many topics. We had a good time.


I was very busy and very tired. However, I had a good time very much!!

On 5th in the evening, I came back here and went Hirosaki park in order to see cherry blossoms with friends. Actually this is the first time for me to go to cherry blossoms festival in Hirosaki, so I was very excited. As you know, cherry blossoms in Hirosaki are pretty famous. I heard there are thousands of kinds of cherry blossoms there and in fact I was able to see a variety of them at the festival. I took a lot of pictures with my carema of my cell phone or digital camera because I wanted to show my friends who coundn't see them by blog like this. Isn't it awesome?

I watched many foreign people enjoying cherry blossoms and I'm very proud of these wonderful trees in Hirosaki so much. I'm sure these cherry blossoms are worth to see and you should come to Hirosaki to see them once in lifetime!

My Golden Week

How about your golden week?My golden week was really nice!

From May 2nd to 5th,I went back to my hometown,Hachinohe.One day,I ate out with my family,and the other day,I went shopping with my old friend.Each day of my stay at Hachinohe was very great.However,my best memory of golden week is ohanami.On the last day of golden week,I enjoyed ohanami with my classmates.About 80 students participates in this ohanami.I could talk and make friends with students with whom I've never talked until then.I really appreciate people who prepared for us.

I went to relative's house with my family during GW.
We passed in the expressway.
I also drove, because I had gotten the license before I got into college.
Though driving was a little difficult for me, there was not any accident.
I want to come to be able to drive well by practicing more.

Additionally, I attended enjoying seeing cherry blossom of the first grader of medicine.
I enjoyed it very much.

During this Golden Week, my family had come to Hirosaki. They'd so expected to see the cherry blossom trees in Hirosaki Park that we went there as many as two times in a day. Fortunately it wasn't rainy in the Golden Week, in spite of the weather in the end of April. So we could really enjoy doing hanami. They said to me that they were excited to see the cherry blossoms.
I also enjoyed the hanami, and I was very happy because I hadn't met them for a long time.

Golden Week!

On May 3rd, my birthday,I went to Harajyuku in Tokyo by train to buy some clothes. Harajyuku is one of the most poplar places among young people. Harajyuku is famous for its fantastic shops in the world.
I saw some young people in strange clothes. They looked really funny.So some foreigners seemed
like being interested in them and were taking pictures of them.
I went some shops and bought shirts, pants, and a pair of shoes.There were so many people that I felt very tired.But I enjoyed shopping very much and had a very good time.

Go Fishing

Yesterday,I did go fishing in Numazu with my father.we left Tokyo for Numazu at 4a.m. and arrived there at 6a.m. .At first,I had thought that we did it on the pier easily.But,it was a big mistake.

My father:"we'll go fishing on tetrapods,so don't hold things too much.If you drop your i-pod or cell phone,you could'nt get them.I droped shears the other day,it was a lot of trouble!!!"

We advanced toward the favorite spot on 300meters on tetrapods.Although my father had three fishing rods,a cooler,two buckets and a light lunch,he moved easily.Hop hop.He did't fear at all.However,I was diffrent from him.Of coures,I had nothing.

K:"I'm dying!I'm dying!I don't want to die yet!I want to return to Hirosaki!It's dangerous for me to go any longer!!I'll never come here!!

M:"Tetyapods are safe,because you have shoes on!"

K:"I'm dying!If I slip,I could'nt become a doctor!"


At any rate,we reached the point safely.And then,we started to fish.I could bait a fish hook,but most of girls probably couldn't do it ,because an angleworm(fishbait)is like an earthworm.They are so grotesque.I was poor at fishing with a rod and line,and my father helped me to throw it. The sun was shining brightly.There were some birds which were seeking food.I enjoyed fishing very very much.I had a wondeful time.We got a lot of sand borers(kisu),wrasses(bera),mackerels(saba),and so on.

Today,we'll eat them as tempura.I can't hardly wait for them.

My Pets

Hey folks.It's me,Tetsushi Oyama.
This time,I'd like to tell you about my two dogs Bell and Koro.

Bell is a black labrador retriever,but a small one for a retriever.She will be 10 years old this September.She has beatiful hair and she's cute ,but a little lazy. She doesn't listen to what I'm saying.

Koro is a shiba.He'll be 6 years old this November.He's so stupid.He can't find the hidden food in my hand. I guess he can't smell well even he's a dog.He's more lazier than the former,but
a nice dog.

My dogs have different features, but I like both of them. I take care of them when I have time.It's fun to take my dogs for a walk.I recommend you to have any pet if you don't have one yet.

For listening, I like some genres, rock, classical music, J-pop, alternative, and so on. I love Van Halen in rock, Chopin in classical music and Fukuyama Masaharu in J-pop. Fukuyama Masaharu's songs are very popular and famous in Japan, and I often sing them in Karaoke. If you love him too, let's go to Karaoke!

For playing, I like a piano and a guitar. I began a piano when I was 4 years old. My sister played it very well, so I felt I wanted to play. I had hot thought at the beginning, but it gradually cooled down because when a concert came, I had to practice hard, so I couldn't play with friends. So, I stopped it when I was 14 years old, when the club activity became busy. But when I studied for an entrance examination of the university, I wanted to play for some reason. From the time, my relaxation is playing the piano.

The second guitar is the first guitar I bought on my own.This is the Ibanez guitar.My favorite guitarist,Paul Gilbert,also uses Ibanez guitars.

My Club

Hello,everyone.
Today,I write about the clubs that I join,orchestra club and sado club.

When I entered this university ,I wanted to find my new hobby because I had few hobbies.

First,I joined orchestra club because I had been in a brass band club when I was in elementary school,and I like music.In this club,I practice viola.I have never played it,but I will practce hard and want to be able to play it well.

I joined sado club too because my friend invited me.The manners of sado was easier than I had been thought and interesting.

I want to continue and enjoy these clubs.

Badminton Club

As I wrote in the previous blog, I've entered the medical badminton club.
I only played it in P.E. classes in my high school and we just enjoyed it. So I didn't know the collect way to play the sport. When I saw the play and training of the club members for the first time, I thought, "It is a different sport from what I've played in P.E. class, isn't it?"

My home town

I am from Fujimi city in Saitama prefecture. I'm going to write about my home town.

Fujimi city is south in Saitama. This city has a population of 100,000. This name "Fujimi" is derived from the place where we can see Mt.Fuji. There are three stations in this city. They are "Mizuhodai" , "Tsuruse" and "Fujimino".

Fujimi city is known for two things.
First, peculiar soybean paste is made in this town. This called "Fujimi miso". However, I never have it. I want to eat it someday.
Second, there is a unique park. The name of this park is "Mizuko kaiduka kouen". You can see "tateanasikizyuukyo" in this park.

Fujimi city has many virtue. I'd like you to come this city!

Hi,guys! How are you? Now, I'll tell you about "Hiroko Nebuta"!

In Hirosaki high shcool, there is a lot of events! Big event is "Hiroko sai",Hirosaki high school festival. Each class make "Nebuta" for about ONE WEEK! How fast it is! Also, We make it from the beginning.Whlie this week,we surely have classes(T^T) After classes, we start make it! Making Neputa is very hard,but when you finish,you'll be very very happy!We show own Nebuta at first day.

Kawagoe High School

Nice to meet you. My name is Yuta Oba.
I'm from Sendai. Sendai is the biggest city in Tohoku and famous for beef tongue. There are many good beef tongue restaurants, so eat it when you visit Sendai.

I like any kinds of sports. When I was a junior high school student, I belonged to the soccer club. So I like soccer in particular.
I'm looking forward to the World Cup in South Aflica. I hope that Japan will make good performances in South Africa.
I often watched a Vegalta Sendai's game when I lived in Sendai, and it is sad for me that I can't watch the games in Hirosaki.

Kazo is northeast in Saitama prefecture. There are about 70,000 people in the city.
Kazo is famous for carp streamers , which are called `KOINOBORI'.
A big festival is held on May 5. In the festival ,`JANBO KOINOBORI ', which is over 100 meters long , swims in the sky. It is very powerful. Many people from all over Japan visit Kazo on May 5 to see it.
Kazo is also famous for `UDON'. You can eat various UDON in Kazo. It's very tasty.

Hi;) Everybody,what's up?

In this post,I'll introduce my team,the Hirosaki University Volleyball Club.

As I mentioned in the last post,all of my teammates are very kind and funny!And everyone practices very hard to develop volleyball skill.Athough all members are very busy for studying,no one skives off practice.

We have very unique nicknames.One of my friends is Chai,one is Rasu,and me,,,John!When I heard my nickname for the first time(Our nicknames are made by older members.),I was very surprised or maybe shocked:D But now,I like this name very much.Every one calls me John with warmth and frendship.

Next month we'll have a big tournament,"the Hokuitai."Some of my teammates will retire from the team after this tournament.In order to win and play more games with the members who will retire,I'm practicing very hard.

Today I want to talk about International welcome party that was held last Friday night at Bunkyo campus. Probably there are several people in here who participated in the party, I think. I took part in it because I wanted to communiate with many foreign students and make friends.

As I mentioned in class I was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan and moved around a lot all my life. I got a Ph.D. in history at UCLA, where I met a Japanese exchange student also studying Africa. We moved to Japan where we had two children and teach in neighboring universities. I like playing chess, reading, watching movies and listening to music, especially American music, but also African music, European and Indian classical music, and other genres.

In this university I teach American Studies and African Studies, especially history, but I can teach many other things as well.

This class is about writing English, so let's do our best to practice writing English as much as we can!

How do you expect to use English in the future??

I think I'll use English by daily life in the future. The conversation is too high ranking, so there are conversation on the net and one on which even a physical thesis was written in English again mainly, so I'd like also to use it for the translation.

The world is internationalized by development of the internet and development of the movement means now. The culture various ones talk with a national person, and which isn't only small culture in an own country, an other country, they seem able to enjoy themselves, it was. That has various ways, but they're youtube and my space that I like it. I talk much by the conversation for which English which wasn't English along grammar and was omitted and a slang were frequently used. Abbreviation quite is here and is fascinating on the internet.

Science and engineering is a major originally, so I don't find interest in the work which made the translatress and English a major, but I think I'll use it much by daily life.

How do you expect to use English in the future?

My dream is to become an English teacher of high school. So I expect that I teach English to high school students. In modern days, English teacher is required to have abilities to conduct a class in English.

First of all, I have to have basic English abilities such as grammar, pronunciation and so on. Without these abilities, I cannot become an English teacher. English teacher have to prepare for a class with such abilities, reading and writing. So I use English to prepare for a class.

Second, in order to conduct a class in English, I have to have speaking and listening abilities, such as conversation. I have ever taken a English class for some years. In that English class in junior high school and high school, teachers don't use English. However, modern English teachers are required to conduct a class in English. So I use English in conversation in class.

In conclusion, I will have opportunities not only reading and writing skill but also speaking and listening. English teachers have to have these four skills. However, I'm not good at English so much, now. I have to try to improve my English abilities more and more. I'll do my best.

How do you expect to use in the future

I am student of medicen, so I will become a doctor. In medicen, I heard that the U.S.A. is the most adovanced.So many new thesises is write in English.I have to use English when I become a doctor.I expect to use English two way.

At first, I want to read thesises writen by Englih like reading Jaoanese. Now I read shrot English tehsises in a class.I can read that English, but I can't understand what it say.It mean that I translte English into Japamese then I read Japanese and understand it.It take time a lot.
So I want read English as a my mother tongue.

Next, I want to speak and hear English, for I want to study abroad someday.It is because that I want to experience an advanced medical when I become a doctor. I have to speak and hear English somehow.This is also useful when I travel abroad.

In conclusion, I expect to use English like Japanese. I think it is difficult to use English like Japanese, so I will train English.

How do you expect to use English in the future

Today many foreigners live in Japan and the population of them are growing more and more. The elementary school children must learn to it when they are 5 or 6 grader in Japan.I was interested in foreign countries when I was six years old probably. Also, now I'm more do and I know about foreign countries. I want to be good at languages, English and Chinese, and to find a job which use languages in the future. Therefore I hope to study abroad and there are two main chance to think that.

I remember seeing foreigners for the first time clearly even today. I saw them when I went to Amorinebuta to see the sights.Then I was six years old, and I was surprised that they were there and spoke in English. Another I moved to Misawa city and I met many foreigners every day. So I become to be conscious of them and I know about the world.

I want to study abroad during spring or summer vacation. I often hear this: Hearing about something a hundred times is not as good as seeing it once. I'm very interested in foreign countries, and I have studied foreign countries, for instance, American, Chinese,New Zealand, Korean, Thailand, and so on histories and cultures since I started elementary school. But I have never visited these. I need to learn by experience and I want to go abroad to study. Also I hope to travel in English speaking world. If possible, I go to New Zealand to study or travel because I studied of New Zealand society and knew about attraction of these.

Thus I hope to go abroad to study because of two main experience by chance and my curiosity.
I need to polish my English and to more learn about the state of the foreign countries.

How do you expect to use English in the future

In Japan, learning English is as important as learning Japanese. Students in Japan usually start to study English when they enter a junior high school. Actually, the law concerning English teaching was revised several years ago. Today children who are the upper of elementary school have to study English. By the way, I still remember the day I first took my English class. Because I was unable to understand anything in the class. After that, I studied English seriously and I grew to like English. Now learning English has become a part of my life, so I want to get a job where I can use my English in the future. Therefore I will have to improve the ability to read, write and speak English to realize my dream.

First of all, I will need to enrich my vocabulary to acquire reading knowledge of English. When I read a text in English, I frequently come across words I do not understand. I usually look up the word in a dictionary so as to understand the content of the text. However, it is important for me to guess words I do not understand sometimes because dictionaries are not always useful. I will get an accurate understanding of a word after seeing it in a variety of contexts. If I have a large vocabulary of English words, I will be able to read Englirh books, English papers, or something written in English singly.

Knowing how to use a grounding in English grammar is an essential skill to write English sentences correctly. First, I will have to increase my vocabulary to write good English composition. A large vocabulary is useful not only to read a text in English but also to write English sentences. Second, to memorize a lot of English idioms is also important to learn a variety of expressions. Third, understanding of the rules of English grammar enables me to write an essay in English smoothly. Surely, it is difficult for me to acquire the ability to write English soon. However, these three things may play an important role to improve my writing skill.

If I want to speaking English fluently, I should take speaking and listening as a set. Because it is impossible to speak English fluently without learning correct pronunciation. Of course, the best way to learn correct pronunciation is talking to people who are good at speaking English, especially native speakers of English. Through conversation with he or she, I will be able to learn correct pronunciation and improve my speaking skill. I may also find differences between English and Japanese: how to express, unique phrases, etc. Thus conversation with people who speak English makes meaningful contributions to my speaking skill.

In conclusion, learning English enables me to communicate with people in a different country and to learn more about their culture. Therefore I hope to go abroad in the future in order to improve the ability to read, write and speak English.

How we can grow?

I take a class of "hitowohagukumuitonami". At the class I study "the role of toys". I think we all use many toys on our childhood. At that time, we may use those toys not thinking deep,but toys do three important roles.

First, toys urge growth of children.When children play with a toy,they can raise their five senses.For example when they use a drum of toy, they can train the sense of hearing.Thanks for toys,children can also play with friends.

Second, children can develop thier creative power.When they play with blocks, they can train the ability of structure.And the toy which children use when they play house train our ability of expression.Children express what they see or experience useing this toy.

At last ,Children can grow their abilty of exercise by playing with toys. They need large space where they can play freely.For example , they use a ball and play a soccer,they are running and kicking ball.They can train their legs by useing ball.There are many other toys which train children's ability of exercise.

To concled ,the toy has many important role for children.So when we become parent ,we have to give many toys for children's growth. And we never forget we have to watch them for their safety.This is important equal to give toys.

I saw this movie at a high school student. The newly-appointed English teacher who came to the noble family preparatory school for higher education of the whole dormitory system where this movie is rich in content in Vermont in 1959. Students make the lovers' society which says that the students who were being attracted were making the teacher who explains beauty of the poetry and wonderful of the life "meeting of the poet who can die" when he was a student formerly, restore by the hand through an unprecedented session. The landscape of the New England area from the early autumn which becomes a background of a drama to winter is also beautiful.This is a just story. It isn't such trivial thing that I aimed.The end is the case that one student who doesn't end and has that dies of a happy ending, and this talk ends. It's because why did my parents take his youth away too much too much when saying whether they died. I'll write that it can be learned from this movie.

First why do anyone as well as a parent intervene in others? Easy. It's because it's against to think one is right. By a movie, this, the place and his parents which offered that the student who committed suicide would like to participate in the musical at night for my parents," you're still a child.", and, they said somehow and opposed decisively.

When summarizing it, it's a paradox of parents' idea and child's idea. A child wanted to enjoy youth. Because it's because a child thinks the parents' way of thinking is wrong, too. It isn't possible to make them meet both opinions for a paradox to exist double here. What's your happiness?

Have you ever thought about happiness? Probably, many people have not thought about it. I started to think about it when I was elementary school because of a certain incident. According to a dictionary, Happiness describe feeling, showing or giving pleasure or satisfaction. These are truth without a doubt. However, I think happiness is deeper things. By the way, when do you feel that you are happy?

Surely, there are many answers. For example, you will feel happy when you are sleeping, eating, reading a book, doing your like things, being with your family, and so on. Happiness, including its way to feel and scale, is very different from people to people.

However, I think the reason why you can feel happy is that you are healthy. Do you agree with me? Both of small happiness and big happiness are based on your health. If you suffer from any disease or injury, you cannot feel happy. Also, If the around people such as your valued friend or family suffer from any disease or injury, you cannot feel happy.

When I was elementary school, my grandfather suffered from a infarction. The doctor at that time explained to my family that he is in peril of his life. I was so shocked to hear that and I couldn't eat anything. Due to his disease, he and our family cannot feel happy. Fortunately, he managed to escape death and live in ordinary now. When I looked back on the past, I have a feeling. That is, healthiness is very important in our lives.

Because of these, I think healthiness is the best in our lives. If you are not healthy, you cannot feel every happiness. I'd like to realize that you are happy.

Urban Legend

Have you ever heard "urban legend"? Probably, you have heard from your friends,TV, radio, and so on. This is spreed on mas media and Internet by ordinary people, for example, young people, the city dweller and the highly educated person. For a formal legend, this is a rare occurrence. According to the Jan Harold Brunvand, he made a concept of "urban legend" widely known, it belong to legend of lower-level and legend is the folk history or simulated history. "Urban legend" is not always stories about urban community and it called "urban legend" even if it is stories about rural community. Today, "urban legend" have reason for popular favor and there are genres of science and technology, small story.

First, regarding reason "why people are attractive to it?". There are main elements. People tell other people just like folktale and it was sometimes told that it was true certainly. They told seriously! Also, it don't stop as a rumor temporary and it tell about happening of an acquaintance. In other word, it is lively stories. "Urban legend" satisfy of our desire "I want to know about strange, terrible and dangerous stories."

Next, genre of science and technology have two famous rural legend. Some old woman heat hers cat in a microwave because hers cat got wet , it passed away and she raised matter with that things. Since then, the notes of microwave was added to this: Please don't heat animals in it. Moreover, "The Unix Macintosh operating system can communicate with the user and make out thought of user's." When someones Mac was malfunctioning and he mutter about disposing of Mac, suddenly Mac started again!

In addition, if a couple go to the a Shinto shrine of the Goddess, they break up.It is said that the Goddess is jealous. If they go to the big theme park, they do like that because they are distracted by other man or woman owing to long waiting time. If you eat "tyuppatyappusu" in 5 minute, you make happy!

Thus there are many many urban legends in society and it make you believe easily. People speak express themselves frankly whether it is true or not. The science and technology, small story and so on are told you because of reason for attractive factors.

Mahatma Gandhi

"My life is my message." These words were spoken by Mahatma Gandhi. Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was born in 1869 in Porbandar. He is well-known as the Father of independence of India all over the world. As you know, India was once under the imperial control of the Britain. Gandhi started the movement of nonviolence and disobedience. His activity expanded through India and led India to independence. However, why did he start the movement? And how did the movement expand through India?


It was a shocking experience in South Africa that changed the course of his life. In 1893, he visited South Africa when he was 23 years old. As soon as he arrived in South Africa, he experienced a shocking happening. It was when he was in a train. The conductor orderd him to move to freight car from first-class car although he had a first-class ticket. Eventually, he was dropped off the train because he rejected the conductor's order. Then racial discrimination called apartheid was carried out in South Africa. Indian were treated unjustly because they were also targets of apartheid. After the shocking experience, he started the movement of nonviolence and disobedience. He have never had recourse to violence. And he have appealed for the importance of nonviolence.


After his return to India, he continued the movement of nonviolence and disobedience. His speech reached the hearts of the audience. As a result, many people joined in the movement for independence of India. The movement of nonviolence and disobedience has been running well. However, acts of violence by Indian happened when independence of India was close at hand. A British policeman picked a quarrel with demonstrators and the angry crowd attacked the police office. The news made Gandhi disappointed. He said that he didn't need independence with violence. After that, he traveled through India in order to change India from inside.


In 1930, Gandhi made a protest march against monopolization of salt by the Britain government. He marched about 400km from Ahmadabad to Dandi and refined salt at the seaside. Many people joined this demonstration in the middle of the march. This demonstration raised consciousness of Indian and performed an important role in the movement of nonviolence and disobedience. Thus the movement has been expanded through India more and more.


At last, India gained independence from Britain in 1947. On the other hand, the battle between Hindu and Muslim has been raged day by day. They fought and killed each other. Gandhi was terribly shocked to hear that, so he declared to fast until the fight would be over. When he was in danger of his life, the miracle came up. The fight between Hindu and Muslim was over. This amazing story are called "The Miracle of Calcutta". Unfortunately, Gandhi was assassinated by extremist of Hindu on January 30 in 1948. Many people mourned over his death and admired very much what he did. It has been more than 60 years since he died, however, he is still loved by many people all over the world because of his great accomplishment.

This movie is difficult for me to understand, but I know that this movie is favorite movie.I was not able to understand this movie all.So I want to see this movie again.But it is not now, I want to see this movie in many time.

I thought the impressions from which a movie was judged were unskillful talk. Because I can foresee the future talk. I think the fact that the last development of talk can be read in particular is unskillful. A true story didn't worry about development particularly, but the fascinating end was expected because it was a fiction.

A fascinating place is abundance of the unrealistic imagination. Heaven, hell, hierarchy, devil ,god. I think the setting of a theme was very good.

Dr.Faust

Through this movie, I felt again it is so terrifying to lose his or her presence of mind and can't see anything.

Certainly, almost all people can't believe his action from the third person's point of view. However, why did he make such a action? I think it is because he lose his presence of mind and can't see anything. If he had been calm, he couldn't have made such a action and fallen into a hell.

I could not understand why Dr.Faust behaved like that. However, it was obvious that he drew ruin on himself because of his greed. As you know, greed is one of the seven deadly sins. Greed sometimes makes persons blind. If Dr.Faust could goven his greed, he would not have fallen into the pits of hell.

I didn't understand Dr.Faust's action.
If he were smart, he could select wise means. Conversely, it was not easy for him to select right judgment because he was too smart.

I was sad that he got high position, wealth, and so on for a short term instead of that he decided to give a devil his soul and admitted the torment of hell for a long term.

what I did on vacation

I was in Tokyo on vacation.I met my friend and be drinking with them at the end of the year.I was not able to sleep enough,so I cought a cold. I was not able to do what I want to do.

On December 26, a year-end party of the seikyo was held, and many people, such as the staffs of seikyo, professors and students, took part in the party. Surely, I also attended it.
I enjoy delicious dishes with watching many different entertainments put on.
In a game of bingo, I could get a prize. This party warmed up and many people enjoyed it!!

During a holiday, I'm doing nothing in particular. A great deal of homework of physics was being done.

Only that, I have no memory. I'm sorry.

What I did on vacation

This time, I was glad because I met many people.

I returned home, met my family and took a trip in Tokyo and Chiba.Therefore we were not living at home in year-end and New year. We were very tired from wandering around here and there.But it was a memorable trip.

Also, I could met good friends and went bowling in Hachinohe. We couldn't concentrated on doing bowling because we do is chat.

I occasionally read a book "A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens".This book was written by English. I'm going to make time and read it because I haven't finished reading it yet.

What I did on vacation

On New Year's Day, I went out for a New year's sale with my sister. When we arrived at the department store, many people lined in front of the store though it was snowing. We bought clothes and convenience goods cheap at the sale. However, we were very tired because we set out early in the morning. In the evening of the day, I and my family visited my grandparents' house. We had excellent dinner and had a good time. Of course, I received some New Year's gifts. Did you get some New Year's gifts?



Do you know that THIS IS IT(Michael Jackson's film) is going to show again from January 9 at WARNER MYCAL CINEMAS in Hirosaki? I'm looking forward to seeing Michael Jackson on the screen again.

my Christmas/New Year vacation plans

In Japan Christmas is a holiday for friends to get together, while the New Year is a family holiday, when people go to shrines and temples. In the US Christmas is a family holiday, when many people go to church even if they only go twice a year, and families get together for a Christmas dinner and exchange presents. In my family we usually have a Japanese New Year's Day but an American Christmas.

This year, though, I'll be in Japan for Christmas, but in the US for New Years'. I'll have an American Christmas, with a Christmas cake and our annual lamb family dinner, in Japan, but I won't be able to have a Japanese New Year's in the States. I'll be getting ready for the American Historical Association's annual conference, trying to get over jet lag and see a few friends (and do some research in the UCLA Research Library).



Anyway, that's why I won't be there for the next class on January 8th. I am looking forward to reading your reactions to "Faust" (or "Much Ado about Nothing" if the Faust video doesn't play correctly) here on the blog, though. I'll be checking in every once in a while to see how you are doing. Don't forget to post about what you are doing during the break, and don't forget your writing assignments. I forgot to mention that we won't have class on the 15th because of the Center Test that weekend, but I'll see you all on the 22nd for sure.

Vacation Plan

This winter vacation, I'm going to take part in a year-end party of seikyo.
Many people who have somethig to do with seikyo will attend and many entertainments are going to be put on. I'm looking forward to it!!

Also, I'm going to go home and meet my friends. I can have relaxing time there.

However, I have a lot of homework (^^;) Probably, I can't relax enough (^^;)

my vacation plan

I want to do something in this vacation,but this vacation is only two weeks,so I can not do everythings.So I want to do two things in this vacation.

One thing is going to Tokyou and see friends of high school and carmming school.Some friends of carmming school is still in carmming school and study hard,so I want to buy lucky charms and give its to them.

The other thing is winter sport.I bought a snowboard last Wedenesday,so I want to go Ajigasawa and snowboard.I'm in a snowcountry, I want to enjoy winter sport.

Vacation plan

My vacation plan is to spend time on a hobby. Even though it's a long vacation, it isn't done in particular. So time is spent on a hobby.

It has become cold, so street basketball is resting. I'm listening to many songs at a house instead of it. Later is practice of a dance.

There isn't a girl friend, either and a local friend returns to localness and doesn't come and it would be leisure every day every day.

vacation plans

I worked out two main plans for this vacation.That plans will carry out when I return home.

First, I'm going to meet my friends and seniors are high school club members.They are important to me and I like them very much! Probably, we will eat out, chat, and so on.

On the other hand, I'm going to take a trip with my family for 4 days. This trip will be the nicest my family have ever taken.
We have taken a trip a few times so far and there were a little trouble then. My brothers, sometimes I, often quarreled with each other at the tourist spots because we were too young to enjoy taking a trip.
Now, I think, we grower up than several years ago and have good sense.Therefore, I expect that this trip will give us some very happy memories later on.

I'm looking forward to executing my plans. I want to return home as soon as I can.

vacation plans

This winter, I am planning to have a party with my old friends on the evening of Christmas Day. We are going to cook sukiyaki and have a chat over dinner. After dinner, we are going to exchange gifts each other and enjoy playing bingo. At the end of the party, we are going to have a Christmas cake and sing a song. I wish that we will have a wonderful time.

Also, on New Year's Day, I and my family will visit grandparents's house. My cousin's family will come there, too. And we will have excellent dinner such as sushi, turkey, etc. After that, children will get otoshidama(New Year's gift) from adults and they will become happy. I'm looking forward to seeing my grandparents and my cousins.
